Loved this property!

This place is absolutely wonderful! Kenny & Christa were very friendly & super welcoming. Our family stayed there for a wedding at a nearby town and they treated us all very well. They have done a wonderful job tending to this charming property! The homemade breakfasts they made for all of us was outstanding. The eggs were super tasty but the homemade baked goods were the star of the meal. If we ever make it back to that area of WY this will be where we stay without a doubt.

The Carter Inn is an asset to the Tensleep, WY community in providing a excellent lodging in this mountain and rural community. I have used The Carter Inn for decades when travelling around the Big Horn Basin and the new ownership has taken the service and experience to a new level.

It was quiet and private. Due to mechanical difficulties, I arrived after the normal check-in time. But the owners of this lodge accommodated me very well. The breakfast they served was superb. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through or wanting to stay for a while.

The Hidden Gem

Wonderful service. Staff was Accommodating. The room was immaculate and the outdoor patio/hang out area was a nice change of pace from other larger hotels. Eating breakfast in the morning was very similar to having breakfast at grandma's house. If you didn't get enough to eat it was your own fault. Would stay here again in an instant.

Wonderful and Breakfast is even better!

Carter Inn is perfect place to stop if you are in Ten Sleep. We were riding the WYBDR and they are very motorcycle friendly! Sign says they are a motel, but place is more like a B and B as the owners make a wonderful homemade breakfast for you in the morning. Rooms have updated bathrooms, comfy beds, A/C, and are nice and clean. If you arrive before 3pm checkin, chill out and enjoy the grassy and shady backyard!
