The hallways were very dirty, the lights in the room didn’t work. The bathroom looked old. It says no smoking but there were so many people smoking in the hallways.

I didn't even check into the property. I got there and it totally looked like a crack motel. I asked if I could cancel my reservation the front desk clerk said no and that there was an additional $50 resort fee. Told her there was no way I was staying in that hotel especially not paying more. I left and had to spend considerably more for a new hotel. I know this place is cheap but you do not want to stay there

This hotel needs to be renovated asap. The price to stay and no refund or cancelation is a joke. The only reason I stayed was because I couldn't get a refund. Rooms need paint bathroom was horrible tub especially had to ask for remote no ice bucket and refrigerator not working properly on top of that management customer service skills leave little to be desired. Won't visit that hotel ever again

Filthy rooms and hookers at the Ocean Star

We checked in, but checked out in less than 15 minutes. We booked 3 rooms. Two of them were absolutely filthy and unacceptable. The third room was already occupied by what could have been a hooker. We left and went elsewhere. This no tell motel should not even be on your list. They forwarded me their "no refund policy" and I demand a refund! I also called my credit card folks and canceled payment. This place is a joke pretending to be a hotel.

The rooms were so dirty I wouldn't even bring my stuff out of the car. There were a whole army of Roches on the room the dehumidifier was full of water. They tried to get me to park my car in a flooded parking deck that you could barley drive through due to water. Someone knocked on my door multiple times around 1 in the morning. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I will not ever stay there again or ever recommend

It was not worth the money lights didn’t work half the time sheets and towels were dirty and we had to change our own bed . Room wasn’t ready past checkin walls all cracked around ceiling. The toilet was like a kiddie toilet so small. It was just down right nasty. Ice machine didn’t work and the elevator didn’t work either.

I would absolutely not recommend. This business needs new management. My experience was something i wouldn't wish on my worse enemy. Upon arriving, there were several sketchy individuals loitering outside the office, smoking and I didnt realize until stepping into the office that one of those individuals was the attendant after he walked in after letting me stand there for 5 minutes while he finished his joint. The check-in was horrible. The room they gave me literally had a person walk out as I walked up. I didn't stop them to ask what their business because I automatically assume, it was housekeeping(of course in plain clothes just like the front desk clerk) just doing a last minute rush job to get the room ready. Boy was I wrong. Not only was the person not an employee, but they were definitely not doing legal activities in that room. Lets just say, the beds were unmade and there were dirty towels all over the floor and sink. I went back to the front to let them know that room was unsatisfactory. The second room was worse. It was the same as the first except none of the lights or outlets worked. I told them I would not be staying and that I would like a refund to stay elsewhere. The night attendant(Travis) told me to have Expedia contact him and he would work it out with them. Well after chatting with Expedia while standing in the lobby, they made several attempts to contact the hotel and they let the phone ring without answering. Expedia said they would update me in 24hrs

Worst hotel we ever stayed at!

This hotel was nothing like it was advertised. The beds were filthy, sand was everywhere, many things were broken. When brought to the managements attention he was very rude and unwilling to help us out with relocating us to a different room. Worst hotel by far I have ever stay at. Also there was hidden fees that wasn’t described. A $30 resort fee? And a deposit after I already paid. Will not be visiting again.

It was absolutely horrible our rooms had not been clean, we had called to try and change rooms and were told the manager wasn't on site... Electrical sockets broken, foot prints on bed, mold on the ceilings, blood on my other rooms sheets, old food in microwave.. Tried to call hotels.com to help us but they couldn't because the rokms were nonrefundable... We ended up have to get another hotel and lose our money.. I have over 30 images but I will only post a few

BEWARE!!!!!!!

Black mold everywhere! Bathroom ceiling doesn’t even have the correct drywall…. Ceiling was all cut molded and falling out! Walked into the rooms nothing but mold and mildew smell. When I go to front desk to say something, other customers where up complaining on their rooms as well do to mold! The gentleman took me to other rooms but it was just as bad…. All ceilings has major water damage, lamp shades have mold spots all over them, lvp flooring has mold pores on it as well

If I could rate this place 0 I would. The only redeeming quality was the fact that it was on the beach. We arrived around 8pm, room wasn’t even cleaned yet. When checking in, we were told there was an additional $89 resort fee, which was not listed anywhere on the listing or the site. In general, very run down, claimed it had 2 pools, only 1 was made known (no idea where the second one even was). People smoking marijuana in the pool area and playing very loud vulgar music. The room was clean, however there were issues in the room, holes in the wall, a/c unit was duct taped, mildew or mold in the bathroom, toilet not properly attached. Did not give my ID back after checking in, realized I was missing it while out and had to call to find out it was still at their front desk. Don’t understand why they didn’t call me to let me know they still had. This was just a few things. Overall, would not recommend.
