Excellent location, short walk from station, with supermarket on one side of hotel and delicious patisserie on the other side; also close to central Tasso Square. Staff helpful, with a big thankyou to Marica. There was street noise but hard to avoid in Sorrento. Breakfast had a lot of sweet items, savoury offerings adequate. An issue is the tiny cramped breakfast buffet area which makes it difficult for more than one person to access at a time. Bit of a problem when you're rushing to have breakfast before early day tour starts.

Unfortunately we had a first floor room just over reception next to the cleaners cupboard, so lots of noise from guests returning at night, & cleaners starting work at 6am!

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend My stay at this hotel was beyond disappointing. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how cramped the entire place felt. The hallways are narrow and dimly lit, making it feel almost claustrophobic to get to the rooms. To add to the frustration, the receptionist did not speak a word of English, which made the check-in process slow and confusing. The breakfast area was shockingly small, with barely enough room for guests to sit comfortably, and finding an empty seat was nearly impossible. The few options available were subpar, with food running out quickly and no staff around to replenish anything. Location-wise, the hotel is situated in a noisy, bustling area that didn’t feel safe, especially at night. Street noise made it hard to relax or get a decent night’s sleep. Overall, this hotel was a huge letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

Great Affordable Hotel in the middle of Sorrento!

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Sorrento City for one night. We last minute decided to stay in Sorrento after our Amalfi hotel was not very good, and to make it easier to get to Naples the following day where we were staying before flying home. We booked with our hotel rewards, which included this being a free nights stay and a complimentary bottle of prosecco. Great hotel and very affordable. Very centrally located in Sorrento and walking distance to everything in the main city center! The bus station and train station are at the same place, and less than a 10 minute walk (bussed from Amalfi to Sorrento, and trained from Sorrento to Naples). We arrived before check in and they let us leave our bags in the lobby so we could walk around Sorrento. We returned at 1:00 PM and checked into our hotel. Room was very clean, all of the staff were very friendly. A lot of hotels in Europe - the shower situation is not great. They had a GREAT shower (rainforest shower head with removable handheld shower head and a full glass sliding door so the entire floor does not get soaked). We enjoyed some Prosecco on the rooftop patio. Complimentary breakfast was okay. Checkout was at 10:00 AM and they let us keep our bags in the lobby as we had a later train. Would definitely recommend!!
