This is our 'go to' place midway between home and visiting family in the heart of teja (just feel safer staying in Dumas than Amarillo). Though this facility is aged the unit's rooms are large, clean and ones on the ground floor have adjacent vehicle parking immediately outside of each individual room. The HVAC unit is efficient and when the fan is running continuously drowns out the noise from the ample traffic on the nearby interstate for a good sleep. In 5 stays, we've never turned on the TV. Love the pleasant management/owners and the family members were playing cricket in the parking and I want to play cricket with them next visit.

The hotel was a simple room with queen bed, desk, bench, chair, soaps, hand lotion, flat screen tv, refrig and microwave. It's older, but its been kept up well. We try to stay here every time we travel though.

Used the early check in option but when we arrived the staff could not find it even after receiving confirmation. The room was comfortable but the area around the motel smelled like cattle and that found its way into the room. There was nothing on the breakfast bar when we went down to eat.

A lil' GEM in Dumas.

We adore staying here as we used to stay down the street at the LQ. This is the second time in a week that we stayed here and the management-ownership saved the same pet-friendly room as a week ago (at our request). The hotel structure is not new but this Super 8 has new fixtures, new paint, no detectable odors, large refrigerator with a separate top freezer and everything is in working order especially the efficient air conditioning. Thank you, Super 8 Dumas.

30 dollars a night per pet.thats almost as much as a room..my dogs go with me everywhere..wait if you dont get upset.the clerk might only charge you for one.NO CUSSING.i drove 8 hours to get here and was upset with the extra charge. Didn't see anything about charge. Motel 6 down the street has no pet fees.

There were bugs in the room, including a cricket that sang ALL night long and hid between the carpet and the wall until we found it at 3am. There were small bugs in the bathroom. The toilet didn’t flush well, almost overflowing and when we told him he said they already knew.

Stop staying at Hotel 8. They have changed.

The bed is so uncomfortable that my back is killing me this morning. No tissues in room. Toilet is a tall one, very uncomfortable for me since I'm short. Absolutely no breakfast area or many eating options.
