Stayed in the Woodward House, the room was charming and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Went in the off season so many amenities were not available. The grounds were well kept. We were able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and had a great experience staying there.

Though the stairs were a bit difficult for me, being older it was worth the climb to sleep in a lovely room with a comfortable bed that was very clean! It was in a beautiful setting. The breakfast hot brunch was good and plentiful. The room was quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was close to Brevard, Hendersonville, and Lake Lure. Flat Rock had a very good restaurant (huba huba ) with great brisket. There was also a bakery that had good food and two cute shops all in a town square. We liked the jump off rock park for a great view, the St Johns in the wilderness historical church and cemetary and Carl Sandburg house. Al in all a great stay.

This is a charming, historic lodge that has been updated. Our room was lovely and had direct access to a large shared balcony with tables ans chairs. The grounds are beautiful and great for walking! All the accommodations EXCEPT for the pool-front cabins have a fabulous buffet breakfast included in the price. All I would wish for wish for is an elevator...the stairs are steep and there are lots of them. We'll definitely come again...
