It may have been mentioned on the website and if so I missed it but beware of the security deposit. I checked in and the disc receptionist said you can either put a $250 hold on your card which is more than any other place I've ever stayed. Or you can pay a $40 non-refundable deposit. To me this seems like some kind of extortion. This alone will cause me not to go back. The view was excellent. The room was okay. The front desk not handling a loud disturbance situation in the middle of the night until after the third time was a little excessive. Will not stay here. Will not recommend anyone to stay here. Two stars is because of the view.

Check in person had the friendliness of a DMV employee, but interactions with other staff were friendly and helpful. The room was filthy with dried boogers, blood, dried food and soil in various areas (Beds were very clean and nice though thankfully) We spent the first 2 hours on arrival cleaning and disinfecting areas we would be using. Water took 10-15 min before it would get above low warm levels, but did eventually heat up to levels to take a shower without freezing. View from room was wonderful, pool was clean and well kept. Overall opinion, if the room would have been clean, this would have been an A+ location (especially for the very low price), location and views, but due to the dangerously unsanitary conditions of the unit I would rate C+ (only that high because of the price and views) If cleanliness was improved, I would love to stay here again.

My main complaint is that I book hotels on the ocean so I can sleep with my door open and listen to the waves. Unfortunately, someone above me was smoking A LOT on the patio or in their room. The wind basically blew it in my room. I went to the desk to compain because it is supposed to be a smoke-free hotel, but the lady basically told me to suck it up and if I figured out where it was coming from to let her know. It was clearly coming from the next floor up, either directly over me or to one or the toher sides. She couldnt have cared less. It ruins the experience when you purposely pay for a non-smoking hotel and they dont enforce it.

We stayed in a "Deluxe Penthouse Suite". It was pleasant but hardly "Deluxe". The "penthouse" meant it was on the top floor and it was only a "suite" because it had a sofa at one end of the room with a 2nd TV. In all fairness, the price should have been a clue that this was really just an ordinary hotel room. However, the layout was weird. The "bedroom" was right by the balcony door, which was fine but the sofa was right inside the entry area and had a small window which overlooked the external corridor and the lift doors. There were only 2 chairs and they were outside on the balcony. There were 2 bedside tables but no bedside lamps and no light switches by the bedside. In the morning one of us had get up in the dark to fumble for the main light switch or at night turn off the main light and stumble to the bed in the dark. There was silverware and glasses but no dishes. The bathroom was very clean & modern but there was no shelf/niche in the shower for the soap and shampoo bottles, so they had to sit on the shower floor when we were in there.

Your staff was not the least bit friendly almost rude. Especially at the restaurant. Called for maintenance because our sink would not drain, sent someone in but he didn’t fix it.

Family Time

Upon arrival the parking was limited but the beautiful lady at the front desk was very polite. Easy speedy check-in without feeling rushed. The outside could definitely use an upgrade but the family suite was nice, the beds were comfortable. I just wished it had a bedroom door for privacy and a private balcony

The price is right...otherwise...meh.

-Desk clerk at check-in was curt, borderline rude. -Hidden $25 resort fee that is not listed in any literature *UNLESS* you book exclusively through the resort. Disingenuous at best. -Water pressure was nonexistent -Flat fee for late check-out is extremely disappointing. If the room is in need of turnover for an incoming customer, that's understandable. Otherwise, it is typically customary to offer later check-out free of charge.

Great room with an amazing view

Amazing ocean view, right on the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the waves and really enjoyed the poolside bar, especially the beach colada. The room was reasonable priced and well worth the money. It was clean and comfortable and better than I expected since the outside walkway, outside of the elevator made me think it would be run down. It is very spacious and like I already mentioned, amazing view! We would definitely stay here again!

Well...

When we arrived we were given the key to a room that was already occupied and opened the door on sleeping people. Next we got a room that was different than originally booked. Contacted hotels.com as well as the hotel and they said there's nothing they can do no partial compensation or even an apology so yeah a bit of a mess. Otherwise the place was OK but something like this is a bit ridiculous especially refusing to do anything about it

Quick weekend getaway

Oceanview was great, room was renovated, amd clean. Only downside; no furniture or luggage rack for clothing/suitcase, everything had to sit on the floor. Also, no hooks or accommodations to hang/dry towels. No chairs or tables. It was an efficiency, bathroom, 3 beds and 3 tvs, no tables, lamps, chairs. Staff were great, pool area nice, beach was nice.
