The room, by Japanese standards, was huge, so my perspective is somewhat off. That said the spaciousness was great The location is as per ads close (4-5 ,minute walk) to Nishiki market....and another 10 minutes to the BIG shops. The hotel itself is tucked away in a quiet section with many nearby shops, including a 7/11 1 minute away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For your dollar. It is hard to beat. Will stay there again.

It was within walking distance of Gion Street, other famous sightsand the main city streets, making it easy to explore Kyoto on foot.
