It's a wonderful location right on the beach! The staff was nice and accommodating and the food at the bar was great. I will say there is alot of sargassum in the water right of the shore so I didn't go swimming but that has nothing to do with the property itself. Would recommend if you're staying in San Pedro!

The hotel is a cute comfortable little boutique space close to everything! The staff is outstanding! Zamir, James and Martha made me feel like family! My room was clean, well kept and stocked everyday the bed was very comfortable and soft pillows! The bar and kitchen staff(James) was like talking to an old friend! Fun, kind and caring and super helpful! He did everything around the hotel. The food was fresh and very tasty along with the drinks. The pool was clean and refreshing. Staff at Mata Rocks is exceptional, from the manager Ernesto to the bartenders and wait staff to the housekeeping staff. They helped with everything - cart rental, snorkel tours, restaurant recommendations... Room was very comfortable (except it needs reading lights for the beds.) Pool was fun and spotless, and the beach area was immaculate. Bonus points for having pickleball courts!
