A beautiful resort!

The resort was beautiful, the 2 bedroom villa was spacious and clean, the pools are fantastic, and the views were awesome (especially sunset). They offer a yoga class two times a week and Lynne is a great instructor. It was so enjoyable doing yoga on the beautiful grounds. We would definitely stay here again!

Nickel and dime you. Had to pay for bottle of water. Kids screaming around putting green at 7am. Will never stay again. Resort fee ridiculous for older couples.

Grounds and buildings were in very good condition. Service was slow and not so friendly to say the least. Cocktails at the tiki hut were over priced and not made with higher end spirits like menus stated. Seaweed was a definite issue. Had to climb over piles to get to the water. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Undecided if I would stay again. I think 575.00 a night on average is not worth it.

Just okay

Overall best I can say is “okay”. Wish I’d known what it was really like. The property is nice, but not nice enough to justify the cost or to measure up to their advertising. The “beach” is mostly sand/rock retaining wall/grassy water. One small area is zero entry to walk in but that area is rather small and filled with floating sea grass more than not. There are some games set up on the sand and rentals for kayak and seadoo pwc. Note rental in that- you pay extra for any water equipment! Outdoor pools and gardens are nice. The “villas” aren’t individual structures or even very private. They are two-story row condos with balconies that are side by side and no privacy between them. Our main TV didn’t work. Kitchen has minimal supplies. Living room has basic beach condo furniture, one couch and one chair. Bedrooms are tiny! The master bath is minimum code size for a basic tub/shower, toilet and single sink. There isn’t actually any spa on property, just an older lady or two who will come to your room and set up a table. Those services are also overpriced for extent of service. Just don’t expect a luxury boutique property once you get past the main lobby.

No beach as advertised

This resort advertised a beach. So wanted to go swimming in the gulf. That is why I took the $500. Room rate with a grain of salt. Well beach was a shambles. Talked to a few other residents and they said they made a slight attempt to clean but did not really try. When you advertise a beach and it gets messed up you hire professional help and equipment if you are expecting the amount of daily charges you are charging. I would have stayed a second day but they didn’t even make an attempt to clean the beach of the debris that was present. They gave me a $50.00 credit on a $500. Daily charge. Big Deal!

Will not return and actually left a day early

Resort itself is beautiful but rooms are in rough shape! Not been updated in 20+ years according to front desk. Boy does it show. Well disguised on website, social media. Pictures online do not capture aging, neglected guestrooms. Cleanliness was not there. Marks on the walls and messy, quick fixes. Caulking up the walls + where trim meets walls really illustrated minimal amount of attention they have given rooms. Mold in coffee maker, they were quick to supply new one (but did not take moldy one ??). Electricity did not work in half the unit, husband located the breakers. Had annoying fruit flies length of stay. They were there before we arrived. Part of life, but it was constant. Source was garbage disposal. Housekeeping was very late in day which meant no clean towels. One day they took the used pool towels + forgot to replace with new ones. No big deal but when we went to front desk they told us we could get new ones only when housekeeping came thru to swap the towels. Had to explain they didn't leave any from day before, took the used ones, and didn't clean til late in the day. FYI, pool towels not offered at pools. One day housekeeping came thru at 5pm, just as we came home from long beach/pool day so we missed dinner reservations. Food...there is no breakfast served onsite. No reservations available at onsite restaurant. Tried speaking w/resort manager but got no where. She was well-versed with retorts leading us to believe she deals with complaints constantly.

Lovely Property

Lovely property. We weren't able to enjoy all the facilities due to the unusually cold weather. We were given a deal on an upgrade when we checked in. My only minor issue was with water pressure which only happened one time. Would love to try this place again in better weather.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our unit was a 3 BR water view. The downstairs living area was very spacious and the full-size kitchen was well equipped. Gulf view was terrific from both the lower and upper porches. The pools were great. This is a very quiet resort. Loved the beach and the tiki bar, which had great drinks and food. Will definitely vacation here again.
