Toller Blick auf Fitz Roy, ein kleines Zimmer mit noch kleineren Bad. In der Dusche ist es so eng, da kann man nicht umfallen. Würden wir nicht wieder nehmen. Die einzige die den Laden schmeißt und die was drauf hat und super freundlich ist, ist die Dame am Empfang.

On a clear day the view is spectacular. Shared space is updated, clean, and cozy. They have a wood burning traditional fireplace that makes the space welcoming. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but a little small.

Hotel needs maintenance. There were exposed nails in dangerous places in our room. Intermittent hot water flow and we couldn't have a hot shower one morning. Bathroom is ridiculously small.

We do not recommend this place. It has a lot of pros: The place is cute and extremely clean. The common rooms are really nice. The breakfast is good. The staff in the morning shift is extremely nice. Some minor nuisances to keep in mind is that the WiFi was very weak (but the staff gave us another option after we asked), and that there are curfew times after and before which you cannot exit the hotel unless you previously inform staff. But the worst part is that we had a very difficult experience with the heating system, the evening staff and the owner. On our first night the heating failed. What I mean with that is that while it could turn on, after a bit it would just turn off on its own. It is cold and windy in Patagonia and after having long hikes, you truly need warmth. I woke up in the middle of the night and got really cold. I fell sick and had to miss my hike the following day, which is sad since we had little time in el chalten. This happened again the second evening. Knowing this might be a problem, we called the staff to help. The heating turned on and off at least 4 times. What was even more frustrating is how the staff and the owner treated us. No appropriate solutions were given to us. No change of room, no electric heating to plug in, etc…we got one blanket more only because we asked. So we slept with sweaters, hats and scarves on. The evening staff said that “this had never happened” which we later discovered was a lie as we reread all reviews. The owner

El personal del hotel fue excelente y muy amable en todo momento, es lo único rescatable. Sin embargo, el lugar se siente más como un hostel que como un hotel; le falta mucho mantenimiento. Nos alojamos en el primer piso y el aislamiento acústico es nulo: se escucha absolutamente todo, incluso tuvimos que escuchar la cena de Navidad del dueño. Otro gran problema es la falta de ventilación; al no haber buena extracción, todos los olores de la cocina se metían en nuestra habitación. Por último, el descanso fue difícil ya que las almohadas estaban tan deformadas que preferimos dormir sin ellas. Necesita mejoras urgentes en infraestructura.

Staff was friendly and the place is cute. The beds were comfy. It’s more like a bed and breakfast. We planned an early start for a day hike and needed to pack some lunch for the trails. There was no fridge in the room and they didn’t offer any place for guest storage. Luckily we rented a car and it was cold overnight, so we kept our lunch in the car outside.

Porta do banheiro com defeito. O chuveiro não concentra a agua, tanto que acaba molhando o banheiro todo. As cortinas não são eficientes porque o quarto fica muito claro. Limitação do ir e vir porque 00:30 fecham as portas e só abrem de manhã. O café da manhã é muito fraco, tem um monte de doce ruim de padaria.

O hotel tem estacionamento, quarto com tamanho razoável, porém é um hotel bem simples. Espere uma cama confortável pra dormir, um banho razoável. O cafe da manha tem suco pronto, bolos, ovos cozidos e pao. Nao espere nada sofisticado. O espaço interno é bem agradável. Pelos preços da cidade, da pra ficar sem problemas. Bom custo benefício.

The staff at the hotel is great and make you feel great about your stay. Unfortunately the rooms need to be renovated or updated. Again, the stuff is great but that is it. Regretfully our experience with the facilities was not great at all and if we had the opportunity to go back to El chalten, this is NOT a hotel we would stay at. For the price you pay, I would expect to get a bit more specially this being a hotel and not a hostel.

Very old fashioned room, the bathroom needed a renovation. The heating system was really good,m for peak winter stays, there is a small gas heating system in each room but for some reason it was impossible to turn off in my room and it was not that pleasant with 15 degrees outside. No daily cleaning services. Overall I saw very small care for the clients, being lactose intolerant I have asked if the breakfast includes dairy free alternatives as soon I checked in. The day after the indicated me some milk as lactose free when in reality it was just standard milk, just after starting drinking it a realized it when I had already ingested some. They actually had some almond milk in the kitchen that they showed up later on my complaints. No possibility to do breakfast box in a place where most of the people go to hike before 7am. The reception staff speak good English and they do their best but they don't really have any local knowledge.

Very cute hotel with very easy access from the bus station in el Chalten. Close to several restaurants and amenities and with a very attentive and personal touch from the staff. Nice little room a bit to renovate but with a charming touch. We enjoyed our stay.
