Staff was very friendly. Rooms were older, but well maintained, not lavish, but practical. On site laundry was convenient and reasonably priced. Although we didn't have time, there was a fire pit where Smores were served during the evening. A fun chance to meet your fellow travelers. Motel is out in the country with the nearest town being Bridgeport 5 miles away. Another motel (smaller) and restaurant were across the street. Motel was very convenient for our visit to Bodie ghost town.

Everything was good and the staff was excellent. Rooms in the motel were a bit small, though, but not a major concern.

Best family trip location! Close to the entrance to Yosemite as well as a couple of lakes and great hiking. Campfire s’mores for the kids and wine for the adults - good company all around! This is a place you’ll return to year after year!

This was a lovely place with nice trails to walk and close to places we wanted to visit. The only thing I think would be helpful is if they had a little more lighting in the room. I would definitely stay here again.

I am so happy I found this little gem in the eastern Sierras! We will be coming back here for sure. You are greeted by Ken (the old guy ha ha) in the office who is kind as can be and very helpful with suggestions on where to go for meals, etc. The place is impeccably clean thanks to the hardwork of Jasmina! We had the opportunity to meet her and talk with her - she was so sweet and thoughtful to make sure we had everything we need in our room - offering to bring more coffee or towels if needed. Then there is Mike who works around the grounds and makes sure the campfire is lit and there are fixings for s'mores (yum!) - this was not just a place to stay, it felt more like a family reunion! We met some wonderful people at the campfire who we hope to meet up with again next year! I would give this place 100 stars if I could. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cozy and the staff was like family!

Small rooms and a very small shower, everything else, is great. Had a on property laundry, a community shower for RV’S ers, shop vac, movies to share and books to read. Water hose to use, fish cleaning table and marshmallow sticks and a gas grill you can use to cook your favorite meat on. I would stay again despite the small shower.

A great place to stay when passing through the area, we wish we could have stayed longer. We had a cabin with a full kitchen and it exceeded our expectations in size, cleanliness, and amenities. A welcome place to cook a meal while on the road and even though we arrived 10 minutes after the office closed, they left me a note on the door and a kind voicemail inviting us to join them around the community fire pit that evening. It's a gem and we're so glad we found this place.

Everything is good except the fact that you are traveling back in time, probably to the year it was established - 1953! The room is super old, the bathroom needs complete restoration… It’s very overpriced, I stayed at much better hotels for these money.
Staff was nice, room is clean, territory is lovely.

This is a very lovingly cared for, family owned roadside Motel with cabins, kitchenettes, and RV spaces. The grounds and my cabin were impeccably clean. It is immediately off a very busy highway, so it is noisy. But it quiets down at night. It is located away from the nearest town, and not close to any other businesses. There is only a very basic door handle lock, so is that concernsey from a safety perspective you may want to find other accommodations. This said, it is remote enough and the buildings are clustered together enough that it would be hard to imagine an intruder getting very far. Personal preference.

Good short stay.
This was a good stop over on our way to Lake Tahoe after a long day in Yosemite. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. If you’re used to not traveling with a hair dryer or hair conditioner just note that these are not provided. Only issue was checking out as we didn’t realize the office wouldn’t be open until after we needed to leave the next morning. We left the keys in the room and left a message, so hopefully that was ok.

The hospitality is wonderful. The room may be a bit outdated but it was very clean. I personally prefer outdated feel because it gives the feel of being in a small town. The mattress was brand new. I loved the table and chairs outside. Was nice to sit on and drink coffee and have the feel of peace and quiet. The property is clean. I was there on a saturday, and they run a campfire and offer smores. So cool! Great property for kids. I really like their main lawn area. What a great place to be.

We liked the location and especially the beautiful patch about a half mile from the resort to the top of a hill with dramatic views of the valley and the mountain range. What we did enjoy was how cold we were all night long. When I asked the front desk person about it, he re lit the pilot light in the heater and told me that three other rooms had the same problem. He attributed it to former residents turning off the pilot light because of the noise it made. He said this was a common problem. He fixed the problem right away but it didn’t improve our sleep the night before. It gets cold in the mountains at night and we lost a great deal of sleep. Given the frequency of this problem, it seems that a simple fix would be for staff to make sure the pilot light to the heater is working before they let anyone use the room. This was most unfortunate because the resort is a very nice, calm, and lovely little place along side beautiful State route 395.
