A lovely overnight in a real castle in the Correze

A very pleasant overnight stay between two days of driving, including a lovely dinner. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, bed was very comfortable, shower was good. Staff were great, too.

je connaissais Le Castel Novel dans le passé mais uniquement la salle restaurant et les réceptifs. J'ai découvert l'Hotel aujourd'hui. Un endroit vraiment à découvrir pour le cadre, l'ambiance des chambres de ce château où Colette a vécu ainsi qu'une restauration de qualité avec une rapport qualité prix tout à fait remarquable!

L'hotel est magnifique et chargé d'histoire. La piscine est top. L'hébergement a beaucoup de charme. Par contre au niveau du service c'est la panique: la carte programmée pour 1 nuit pour un séjour de 2. Petit dej à 20€ sans café : cher pour ce que c'est : personne pour recharger les présentoirs malgré plusieurs personnes à l'accueil.

Lovely property great terrace to have a drink. Restaurant was good. Staff were excellent. Parking very easy and beautiful grounds. It does have a lift but not to all floors. We had a room that had the bathroom upstairs a bit dangerous in the middle of the night.

Le séjour en famille que nous avons passé au Castel Novel était très agréable. L’environnement et le bâtiment sont magnifiques. Le moins de notre nuit réside dans le manque de modernité de la salle de bain qui pourrait être rénové tout en gardant le style châtelain des chambres au prix de la chambre on s’attend à mieux. Quand au petit déjeuner, franchement éviter à 20€ par adulte c’est vraiment décevant. Si c’était à refaire nous ne le prendrions pas. La piscine est sympa et le parc magnifique. Nous n’avons pas tester le restaurant mais il a très bonne réputation.

Great value! Staff were very welcoming and made a great effort to speak English. We got a full history of the castle. Room a little tight to get from one side to the other but for €55 we are not complaining. Very pet friendly. We wish we could’ve spent longer to enjoy the pool, tennis and beautiful grounds. The evening meal was a little disappointing, great presentation but not much flavour. Breakfast food was good quality. €20 covers the quality however more variety would have been nice. We will highly recommend this lovely place with its lovely staff

Le chef est venu savoir si le repas nous avait plu. Bref, très bien accueillies. On apprécie le calme qui règne. Le petit moins : connexion internet inefficace dans la chambre (peut-être était-ce dû à l’orage ?) et manque de produits faits maison ou locaux au petit déjeuner (confitures, jus de fruits…) ainsi que pour l’apéritif……….
