The pros: rooms are very spacious and the decor is very nice.
Unfortunately, the cons are numerous:
No elevator so you have to climb up to four flights of stairs. There is noted a to be a luggage lift you can use to send your bags up the stairs, however, it was filled with housekeeping supplies, so we were forced to carry four 50 pound suitcases on 3 flights of stairs. As advertised, it is a non-service hotel. You message requests to an offsite facility. This includes the code to access the front door and your room door. We had to be quite diligent in our communication to get the information we needed. we arrived at midnight so responses regarding the location of the AC remote, etc. were difficult at that hour. No one is there to monitor the homeless person we had to climb over in front of the access stairs to front door.
The two sets of earplugs (for four people) and sound machine supplied were not helpful for the bar next-door, screaming homeless people below and old wooden steps were still shockingly loud.
The TV cannot be watched from the bed, but from the very uncomfortable window seat and single chair.
They definitely try to provide extra things to make a thoughtful stay. However, the Prosecco was not needed as we don’t drink alcohol and the one cookie for 4 people was kind of laughable.
I definitely expected more from such a highlyrated establishment.
