The main guy (manager I believe) who checked me in was funny. He was really nice and helpful. The cleaning lady in the morning was horrendously rude. You have to expect people to come downstairs early morning for breakfast (if they're unsure of the time) because you're attached to a hostel! Same goes for the bar staff. You must accept you are attached therefore don't be rude when questions are asked and certainly don't tell someone to go back where they came from!! The restaurant food wasn't the best, the spicy beef tasted like it had been re-fried 6 times, it was rock hard. The breakfast was a croissant with no butter. An old apple and a cereal bar. The apple juice was ok at least. The bedrooms and bathrooms in the hostel were horrific. It stank like wee and B.O. The bathrooms don't appear to have been cleaned ever. Peoples used tissues were all over the sink. the shower trays had sand in the bottom for days. The dust on the beds must be months old. It needs some TLC. It's only saving grace was the kindness of the manager from Poland and the views. The surf school attached was awesome as well, but even they expressed their annoyance with the lack of communication from the hostel staff. It's ok if you don't mind being dirty and have little money to travel.

Had the best time here. Just a chill place. Got unlucky on second night with this group of people in my room. One dude snored so loud it woke up the dead. Obviously didn’t get much sleep that night. Not the hostel’s fault but was raging. Despite that all good.

The service was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean though the power (Room 6 bed 4) did not work. The comfort could have been improved by adding privacy curtains or similar. However, it was comfortable and reasonable value overall, and I would stay again

Some negatives but I’ll be back again!

I stayed at this lovely place for one night in a standard double room with en-suite. The bar is very good! Friendly staff. The views are extremely picturesque. The only things I could fault are: - The room was very cold when we got back in at around 11pm. - in the morning I went to fill the kettle up but the inside of it was smothered with mould!! So we had to go out and spend £6 on two cups of teas at a cafe☹️ Regardless, I will be staying again.

No stay and no refund!

I would not book. I booked the stay on the Saturday morning, then set off for Newquay. On arrival the man behind the bar was laughing at us saying how he hopes we aren't going to spend the night here as they have no hot water, wishing us luck... I was 'helped' by a supervisor and she gave me the upmost confidence that I will be able to get a refund for the stay. But this was not possible. When I asked her then for a rebooking of the stay to a future day, she just stopped contacting me back. So I spent £70 for them to just keep. I was told that I was emailed about the boiler issue, but this was incorrect too. In a nutshell, rude, unwelcoming staff, lack of communication for the boiler issue, snubbed away after unsuccessful refund request from Hotels.com. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

Hotels reklamerer med Kontinental frokost, hvor frokost kunne fåes i to varianter forhåndsbestilt ved innsjekk. Enten vegan eller kjøtt, meget dårlig. Frokosten ble tatt et annet sted. Varmt på rommet, liten mulighet for lufting og ingen aircondition.
