Grubby and in need of updating

Although the bed linen, towels and room was clean the hotel is very grubby. Carpets need replacing and bath, shower and bathroom generally was in poor condition. Rust marks on hand basin. Shower was difficult to turn on because part was broken. Shower head dirty and disgusting. Staff very nice and helpful

Nice Stay

Very much a standard corporate type of hotel with nothing that really stands out as far as rooms go. However, the staff are excellent and a great credit to the hotel, keeping it very clean and super friendly. We are back in Limerick shortly and will certainly stay here again.

Comfortable and relaxing night at the Maldron

We stayed one night. The room was very clean and comfortable. Don't know if the hotel was busy that night or not, but it was really quiet in the room. No noise from other rooms

Service and food in the restaurant very poor.There was tape stuck over the buttons at the lift and inside the lift were buttons were out of order but not repaired.Doors on to balcony extremely dodgy and unsafe not to mention the moss and grime on balcony leads me to think the exterior hasn't been treated in a while.Also there was damage to skirting boards in bedroom from an obvious old leak from the shower.The shower curtain did not stay positioned where it was meant to.Decor overall needs a huge upgrade inside and outside this hotel.There was a lump of broken wood dumped in the bushes in the outside seating area that was sticking out could easily harm a child if they didnt spot it.Not to mention alot of anti social behaviour setting of alarms in the hotel in the evening time.Also to mention our car was recieved a dint to the door in the carpark which i note per carefully placed signage the hotel does not take responsibility for.I fully believe this hotel was overpriced based on decor quality of services.It was not the comfortable chilled family break we intended it to be, i would not recommend a stay here. Also please note there is a halting site next to this hotel.

Plastic sheets on the bed you just sweat! Nowhere used these anymore so uncomfortable. Shower very low and tight space, shower curtain sticks to you and the handrail means you can’t turn around.

The hotel itself is fine. The lobby, halls and our room were all well kept and our room was spacious and very clean. However the same cannot be said for outside and around the hotel. There was broken glass, cigarettes and rubbish all around the car spaces immediately outside the hotel doors. We also experienced fire alarms going off at 4.30am until 4.45, all 4 of which were cancelled with 10-15 seconds, but not a single explanation or apology was given at the time nor the following morning. It is in a good location for travelling into the city, and thankfully had underground secure parking, as outside the hotel feels quite unsafe.

We arrived early 1:00 asked could we go in early or come back later the clerk said yes 20 min, so we stayed. He kept saying another 20 min till finally allowed to the room at 2:45. We left the room they made the room up well away, got back the door was a jar. Talked to reception they said they will retrain staff and all was good I said no they basically said to bad. The internet took 3 min to down down load basic e mail could not open attachments. Internet usless

Shocking

Front-of-house staff on check-in are ALWAYS so unfriendly. There is one lady in particular. Thin with black hair, she never had a name tag on but checked me in on 3 occasions, never getting a hello out of her or anything. She looks like someone has just run over her puppy all the time. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times now and there service from her is a shocking as the last. Normally I get food delivered to the hotel as I have tried the menu in the restaurant and want something different. Normally I let reception know I am ordering and ask if they let me know when the driver arrives so I can come down. Normally this isn't an issue, but during this weekend's visit, she told me "It wasn't a service they offer?!" a courtesy call isn't a service?! 150 euro a night, I think this isn't a big ask! 5 nights I have stayed here and the service hasn't improved. I won't be back.
