Old historic hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable but small. Bathroom also clean but cramped space. Excellent service though. I would not hesitate to stay there again

I was there for just one night but it exceeded my expectations. I did go with not so high expectations as the price of the room was very reasonable

Wonderful Historic Hotel

The ownership were amazing during our stay and directly involved in the operation of this historic hotel built originally in 1930. We were made to feel welcome and the property has a great family & community vibe. The morning continental breakfast was excellent as well. When visiting Monte Vista this historic property is worth a stay.

6/10 Good

Friendly service in historic hotel

This is an older, historic hotel located in downtown Monte Vista in SE Colorado. Be aware that the hotel has only been partially remodeled. My particular room was comfortable enough, but not very convenient. For instance, the bathroom sink was really too small for shaving in the morning. Front staff was friendly and provided good recommendations for restaurants, of which there are only a couple of choices. Beware of the quirky elevator... it can be a handful especially if you have more than one piece of luggage.

10/10 Exceptional

I actually really enjoyed our stay here. There are definitely some quirks, but what a cool hotel. Check-in was good. The staff actually walked me to the elevator to show it to me. It is old, but works fine. There are so many cool spaces to hang out from the lobby, to the old bar, the cafeteria, even every floor has an area with chairs and tables. Our room was small but renovated. The curtains were so high it was tough to open and close them and the sink was rather tiny, but it was quite comfortable and I would definitely stay again.
