Lovely stay in circle, tourist area

The lovely lady who was in charge of the breakfast area, was at dinner last night with her friends and offered me to stay in that room to have my dinner. She was lovely and I think her husband was fabulous too who offered to carry my suitcase up and down the stairs.

Had a great time at the Bedford with my girlfriend. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and the location can’t be beat. The only improvement would be that the tiling could be cleaned a bit better in the bathrooms. Great hotel.

The bed was comfortable, and clean, the hotel is very out dated and the carpets looked gross. Looks like they had not been changed since 1970s. Breakfast was ok. Lots of things needed to be refilled without an attendant. After hours staff was there but lacked customer service. I probably won't stay here again. Price was good though.

Excellent location. No elevator. Rooms could use an upgrade without ruining the historical aesthetics. Carpeting should be removed and replaced with wood flooring and the bathroom tile walls and floors need a deep cleaning.

The hotel is a "classic" hotel with a lot of character. The staff at the lobby and bar/dining area were very nice and helpful.

The Bedford hotel was a cute hotel in a beautiful town. Staff were friendly. Parking was free and easy to use. The price of the hotel matched my expectations. It had small town charm.

This is an historic 3 story hotel with no elevators. Our room on the 3rd floor had been updated with new windows, bathroom fixtures, roku tv, drip coffee machine was provided but no coffee.

Stayed one night, and found staff very accommodating. Room had a fridge & microwave, and very clean. Very convenient to all stores as located downtown at the Square.

The staff were very helpful and the location is amazing. But it seems like the owners are interested in reaping whatever profit they can from the location and then selling it off. It's looking a bit worn and it is understaffed. But the staff who are there are amazing. They are the heroes. The capitalist profit-maximizing owners are the problem.

We enjoyed our staff at Hotel Bedford. We enjoyed the ambiance, and cleanliness of the hotel. The shower was great with lots of pressure and the beds were quite comfortable. The location is perfect and within walking distance of everything. We basically parked our car and walked everywhere. The pub is great with reasonable prices and a nice selection on the menu.

Great place to stay in central downtown Goderich! Excellent location within walking distance to the local museums and restaurants. Clean room with TV, microwave, and queen bed. A little snug, but perfect for a one night stay. We had dinner at the restaurant underneath, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. Food was decent, and the drinks were good. Will stay here again if back in Goderich!

If location is what you are after then this has a great one, right on the square, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel is very dated, rooms are small. They did have certain items in the them that helped, a fridge and a small microwave however no coffee maker and the continental breakfast that was being offered did not start until 8:30, and it was showing that the coffee maker was out of order. So for a morning coffee drinker not helpful.

We enjoyed staying here! It is a good price and the staff were friendly. Location was perfect. I do wish there had of been the advertised continental breakfast as it meant we spent more on food on our trip than anticipated But overall had a great time

The location was wonderful in downtown Goderich. Parking was plentiful and free and we really enjoyed how walkable the downtown was, we loved attending the farmers market on Saturday. Compared to the other overnight options and pricey Air bnbs, we were happy to find something more affordable. Unfortunately, the property is not well maintained. It’s been many many years since anything has been updated and it shows with how worn out the carpet, bedding, furniture and bathroom accommodations were. Towels were small and thin. I would recommend bringing your own. There is no iron and we were there for a wedding so we had to figure something else out at the local laundromat. It surprises me that a hotel can still exist in 2026 without an elevator available on property or in the connected pub/restaurant property. We requested a first floor because we have an infant and stroller but we were put on the top floor. Front desk staff seemed very overwhelmed at checkout with everyone arriving just before 11. They do not honor late checkout requests.

Yes. Free easy parking. Bar was great. Food good. Only complaint is no in room coffee and continental breakfast was to open at 9am and never did open. Great restaurant to walk to nearby for breakfast called Steve And Mary's
