The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The “courtyard” of the hotel was very peaceful and I felt relaxed. When I arrived in China, my Alipay didn’t work right, but the hotel staff helped me to fix the issues with payment. When I went to visit the Great Wall (Mutianyu), the staff were very helpful in getting me a taxi to there and back to the hotel. If I’m ever back in Beijing, I would 100% be staying here again.

Very clean hotel, the staff was mostly friendly (but they did not always speak english, which was OK for me anyway). The location is close to some important historical landmarks but not too close to nightlife. Overall, very good for the money.

We really enjoyed our sray at this hotel. It was a cultural experience we didnt expect. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. The 3 children whose mom works there really made for a pleasant morning coversation. They are the best!

Preis -Leistungsverhältnis ist für Beijing sehr gut. Ein früherer Check In wurde ermöglicht. Man hört und spürt allerdings die vorbeifahrenden Züge. Auf Nachfrage bekommt man auch ein weicheres Kopfkissen. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist nicht wirklich einladend, aber es gibt Supermärkte und auch eine Apotheke in der Nähe. Man kommt schnell zur Ubahn.

The staff were very good. My major problem was the WiFi. It is an open system, so I think too many people are using it. It is slow and unreliable. My room was fine. Construction was going on outside, but it didn’t bother me. The hotel is in a Hutong, and it was Edgar Snow’s residence, so that’s interesting. As a 老外 I’m dependent upon good WiFi to get things done.

Los recepcionistas tienen un inglés perfecto y son muy serviciales. La consigna es una zona apartada al lado de la recepción. La única pega es que no hay ascensor pero te suben y bajan las maletas. Está en una especie de hutong así que es un poco complicado para los coches entrar (pero entran).Tienen un restaurante donde hacen un buffet para el desayuno por unos 20 yuanes pero cuesta encontrar sitio para sentarse, sobre todo a primera hora. También anunciaban porridge gratuito por la noche pero no llegamos a probarlo.Hay muchas opciones para comer cerca y está al lado de la estación de tren y de metro de 北京站. La habitación era pequeña pero muy funcional. Tenía tetera eléctrica y cada día nos dejaban 2 botellas de agua y 2 sobres de té oolong. Había un letrero en el baño que pedía no tirar el papel higiénico en el váter. El acondicionador de la ducha dejaba el pelo mejor que la mascarilla que traje. En recepción tenían té y snacks para los clientes y el primer día nos dejaron snacks locales en la habitación. La televisión tiene muchos canales pero pilla mal la mayoría. El wifi funciona muy bien. Tienen un baño público y lavandería al lado, que tiene incluso un secador de zapatos.
