Tucked into the mountains and overlooking a small lake, this is a very special place to stay. It's perfect if you want to continue your national park experience overnight, but prefer a very comfy bed over a tent. I can't recall the last time I encountered such warm, welcoming staff. They helped make this a very memorable part of our travels and we hope to return soon.

I truly appreciate the Lodge and understand that there are probably financial constraints that prevent renovation or remodeling: the National Parks system is AMAZING and the lodges are in beautiful locations and affordable. Peaks of Otter is a lovely, accessible location. But the air conditioner was very old and very loud, and the blinds didn't work because the cords were broken. Aside from that, everything was wonderful: inexpensive dining and lodging in a beautiful location. Thank you!

Super nice location, the views are stunning with the lake, sharp top mountain etc. there is a bun fire (gas) that can be used doing the day and evening. Guests are so open to talk while sitting there. The staff is super friendly, and the beer and drink selection is really good. I would say the restaurant is decent, don’t go there for the gourmet experience but you you get good food not to pricey. The waiters feel a bit slow but that somehow feels part of the experience as they take them good time to ask the quests on their travels, experience etc, therefore naturally it takes a bit longer to come around. The rooms are good but obviously this is an old place in the forest and it do show. Therefore please manage your expectations before going there.

We liked our stay. The blinds did not go up and because some strings were frayed and there was a bit of mold in the bathroom. They view was wonderful and we saw lots of deer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. People that work there are supper friendly.

We had three nights at Peaks of Otter Lodge. We loved the nostalgic feel to the lodge. Rooms aren't fancy here. But very clean. And the view from every room is stunning. The grounds were well manicured. Such a peaceful place. The restaurant staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. We are so glad we chose this beautiful place to celebrate our 45th anniversary.

Peaks of Otter is showing its age. The rooms have a small AC unit that can barely keep up. The WiFi in the rooms is weak, which is a problem since there is no cellular service here. Our door latch did not work because it was missing a screw. I had to move a screw from the patio door. The check in process was super slow. We waited in line for over 20 minutes. They would not allow anyone to check in before 4pm, even though rooms were ready. So the line was long. However, the restaurant food was very good and the staff there was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. And of course the setting on the lake is as beautiful as ever.
