This is one of the most amazing little hotels I’ve stayed at. The property has a lot of character, beautiful decorations, friendly staff, and fantastic location close to El Tunco. The food prepared on site was delicious, and the rooms were very spacious, comfortable and tidy. I look forward to staying here again.

The staff was pleasant but spoke minimal English. The location is convenient and close to El Tunco. The hotel provided free bottled water and reliable Wi-Fi, but the overall experience was disappointing. Hotel advertised a free cooked-to-order breakfast, but the food seemed reheated rather than freshly prepared. Additionally, the Signature Room claimed to have a private plunge pool, but the pool did not appear operable at all. I asked twice for it to be cleaned so that I could use it, but nothing was done. The courtyard was also poorly maintained, which made the area feel neglected.

We booked Casa Sunzal at the last minute because our first accommodation was closed and canceled our reservation, but we couldn’t have been happier to end up at Casa Sunzal! The staff was so kind and helped us book surfing guides, board rentals, and a trip to Tamanique waterfall! The food was delicious and they were so accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Abel and Iris are incredible at providing top tier customer service. We told the manager about the Jacuzzi and they cleaned it. We would've used the pool if it looked sparkling. Abel is an amazing chef as well. Iris is very attentive to the room's needs. We will be back.

Pros: Very cute and charming place! Rooms are big and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely amazing. Especially, their prawns in a coconut sauce! Cons: There is no hot water. A mini fridge was not working at our room and they charge extra $1 for each glass of ice which is a bit ridiculous. Overall a nice and quit place and we would be happy to return back.
