Breakfast was delicious! Service personnel, not so much. The breakfast manager demanded we pay cash for our bill even though we were guests and we told her what room. We also offered a card. She persisted and finally asked us to leave the dining room so she could seat someone in our place. When I explain to her that I was going to the management she panicked and comped our breakfast. I don't understand what happened but someone should look into her cash requests.

Got to the hotel to be told that there was no room for me as the previous guest had failed to check out. Instead I was sent to another Marriott about 15 minutes away. Not really that convenient. Having said that, the replacement hotel (Marriot Seestern) was nice and the process was handled quite smoothly: A taxi was organised and in the meantime I was given a drink and offered to take snacks from the "market" free of charge. When I arrived at the replacement hotel they knew I was coming and were very apologetic. So not ideal, but they did as well as they could given the circumstances.
