Lovely hotel , nice helpful staff . Beautiful clean bedroom and room service man was very helpful and kept our room well stocked with towels ect . Breakfast was lovely best to go early as the last sitting was a bit hit and miss . Swimming pool was nice but it does need to have disabled access for us to book again in the future with our son . Beautiful hotel for a lovely rest garden room was so nice . We were upgraded as we stayed for a respite stay . Would stay again . Would be lovely to stay here for Christmas.

Staff were really helpful and although there were some issues with our allocated room, one of the staff members, Kendall was kind enough to offer us to view another room which we were much happier with. Pool area and spa were great to use. Definitely recommend. Could be a bit more modernised and areas updated. Breakfast staff were also very friendly and recognised us as we had visited before.

We have stayed at the Imperial hotel quite a number of times over the years and have always enjoyed our times here. The hotel has a fantastic location, great service from very friendly staff. The food is wonderful from a sumptuous breakfast to delicious evening meals. We do feel that the hotel needs a face-lift, it looks very tired in places. The facade in particular needs a major makeover.

We requested an upgrade to a delux double room, we also requested to have well done bacon and this was granted for breakfast as the ones provided were not as we would have liked. Staff were very very helpful staff, spa staff lovely and helpful. Reception staff lovely, first impression great. Bar staff great. Evening meal lovely food and staff great, this is the second time we've stayed at the Imperial, I do recommend it and would stay again. They are refurbishing the hotel so some areas done and and a lot more to do as a very large hotel, pool is lovely, steam and jacuzzi amazing. So yes all amazing. All good. Nice place to stay.

Exterior of the hotel a bit shabby but made up for when you enter the lobby. You can see how in years gone by this was the place to stay. Still has charm, chandeliers, colourful glass roof and huge spiral staircase. Staff were great. Proper white shirts and black waistcoat uniforms. At meal times they were everywhere. Plenty of choices at breakfast. Room had plenty of storage, bathroom was clean, bed was comfy. We had a sea view room with sliding door onto a patio with sunbeds, worth paying the extra for the sea view room.

This is a very good hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Plus points are location and the fantastic views across the bay. The rooms where large and very clean and comfortable. The restaurant food and service was excellent and the interior has an air of grandeur without being over the top. The main downsides are the exterior appearance, which is tired and needing some TLC. The pool was closed - I think this is a long term issue Balconies from our rooms were not open due to maintenance/safety issues although we were told this when we booked. Don't let this put you off, it is a great place to stay.
