The resort had a wonderful charm and definitely feels “older” (I.e not the MODERN vibe) than some of the other resorts I’ve stayed at but we were looking for a resort that felt like we were in the Caribbean which drew us to Valentín. The property is well maintained and definitely gave us Spanish home in the jungle vibes which we loved. The staff were amazing/helpful and the lobby smells incredible. The reason for my rating is because for us personally, the food and drinks were just ok (for the price we paid we would’ve hoped for better), and the resort seemed to draw an older crowd. Nothing wrong with that of course but we felt somewhat out of place being in our mid 30s. The resort is also not nearby anywhere to walk offsite so essentially for activities you either have to enjoy what they offer at the resort or venture out via a 30 min taxi ride.

Valentín Imperial Riviera Maya is fantastic. Everything from the staff to the food was everything we could have wished for and more. The property is well maintained and kept very clean. The only complaint I have is with the transportation to and from the resort, they used a third party company that was not the best in terms of planning, but we still made it to the resort and departing flight on time.

Stayed on the resort in March 2025 with my wife, and another couple of friends. Overall we had great time, and everyone was happy with the resort. Large property with access to the sandy beach and swimming in the sea. Pool areas with bars and entertainment were excellent. Good food, some restaurants require reservations. The surf and turf restaurant near the beach was our favorite. Overall bars and restaurant options are plentiful and not crowdy. Staff was very responsive and polite. The only downside was a a musty air in the room. We were advised to run the air conditioning constantly, and staff deodorized the room, but some smell still remained. I would consider returning to the resort next year.

This is our favorite resort in Mexico. The staff is so cordial and accommodating. The food is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. If you have not been here, you must add it to your bucket list. Pure relaxation. My only complaint was the spa. They should expand it and add a hydrotherapy area. It's quite small and the treatment rooms are close to what was supposed to be the quiet lounge area. Yet people sitting there were so loud I had trouble relaxing.

As always, the Valentine was an amazing resort. The staff is always super friendly, helpful and kind. The food is top-tier every restaurant amazing food. The booze is top shelf and the nightly entertainment. It’s pretty good.
