Undergoing renovations and our room told us why. Plugs did not work, threshold to bathroom was held by duct tape, carpet was stained. We were only there for one night and we were not phased.

I stayed two nights and really felt comfortable and "at home." The room was clean, had black out curtains and the bed was really comfy! Breakfast was delicious too. It was so convenient to the proximity of the Bee Kay Theater and the cute downtown shops. 'll be back. Only negative: grounds needed attention! Dirty looking, with trash and boxes near the parking areas.

We arrived to find that they had given our room away and had us wait an hour in the lobby while they tried to figure out what they had done. They eventually gave us a room and sent us on our way. We asked multiple times what the problem was and no one would tell us why we couldn’t get a room or why we had to wait. The manager had to be woken up and drove to the hotel and upon arrival was pissed she was woken up at 8:30 at night and was awful and unpleasant. The room we received had duct tape on the carpet and floor of the bathroom. There were holes under the sink counter. The rooms carpet was discolored and filthy. The bottoms of our socks were black. The next morning we went out to try to swim and the pool was green and nasty. It looked like a swamp. Breakfast wasn’t any better. Soggy wet eggs, stale bread and dry sausage was what we had to choose from for breakfast. I’d stay somewhere else if given the choice. We chose this hotel because the room was bigger than the other hotels but it wasn’t worth the hassle or the uncleanliness of the hotel not to mention the unfriendly and unprofessional staff. They don’t check your ID upon arrival and give away your room and tell you it’s your fault. If this sounds fun stay here.

I would have given this 5 stars all the way around if it hadn't been for the persistent inquiries of why we weren't checking out on time when we had been promised late checkout. We were made to feel as though we were doing something we weren't supposed to be doing. I really wish hotel employees would communicate with each other better! Also, bring back the cinnamon rolls! Other than that, it was great! Room was clean and spacious.

We just love Holiday Inn Expresses. Right before staying in this hotel we stayed at a different branded hotel. This was a breath of fresh air. The rooms were clean and updated. Plenty of space for our family. The breakfast was good and the area was clean as well. The staff was friendly. The only complaint was we wanted to swim but the pool was closed. But thats ok. It was cold anyway.

Staff was EXTREMELY courteous and kind and helpful. Room was clean; my only issue with the room was the shower head did not move to a basic spray. It was coming out in 5 thick streams of water. Stilll had good pressure and the only reason I did not give 5 stars.

Property is very run down for an HIExpress. Elevator floors were full of dirt and food debris. Carpets in hallways were heavily stained and looked very gross. Room was fair condition but had laminate floors with dirt along baseboards. WiFi nonexistent that day. We stay at HI Express all the time and this would not meet the standards most have. They need so corporate oversight and a manager/ owner refreshing. We ended up getting a refund and stayed elsewhere

The receptionist was unwilling to help with any of our concerns. The luggage cart was left on the 2nd floor; she told me I could go get it if I wanted it. The comforter in one bed was dirty; she said we could move to a new room but she couldn’t get us a new comforter. The hallways smelled like stale cigarette smoke, carpeting was stained and not vacuumed. For $185/night, I expect better.
