Sad and in dis-repaired....

This place is in a sad state. From the moment you walk from your car to the front desk you will see that there is little regard for the presentation of the hotel. Dirty, things broken, dirty entrance. It continues in the room. Dirty, things broken and haphazardly repaired and generally not inviting. When I checked in there was a not on the desk where you sign in that the phones and tv's were not working due to a "repair and back ordered parts". I would have immediately left but there were no other rooms anywhere in the town unless you wanted to spend 3x what this place was,

Tub grout was moldy!! Tub would not drain and had dirty soap ring!!! Spider webs all along baseboards. Breakfast advertised was nothing like pictured! There was 4 of us and there was 1 bagel, two packets of instant oatmeal and some hard as a rock stale bread for their breakfast bar!!!!! Desk lady said "it's continental". You CAN'T call that breakfast!!!

Not bad.

We had a late check-in and when we arrived the open sign was off and we called to get someone to let us in the office to check-in. The room then was tiny, and not what we'd requested, but there was a bed, fridge, microwave and coffee pot in there. The floors were not clean but it had snowed the night before. The bathroom was tiny and they never did tell us what time was breakfast. We found out it ended at 9am, and were they kind to let us take a few scraps since there was no coffee except decaf available. For what it costed it was not the worst.

The pictures and the actual room were not the same. Carpet (ick) not vacuumed, stale smell, A/C loud, and to add insult to injury, the price was high. We stayed at a BW on the way back and for $20 less, it was far and above better than this hotel.

Completely avoid this location and go anywhere else — it can’t honestly get too much worse. Hotel star level at 2.5 is highly misleading and should be incorrect due to the state of the rooms.I want to preface that I was assisted by the staff, and they were kind and accommodating to my issues. This does not hide that this facility is in massive need of an overhaul with its rooms if it wants to be called a 2.5 star. The issues: Photos used in this Expedia booking are quite misleading. First rooms had paint corrective splotches all over walls general deterioration, and furniture looked like it hasn’t been replaced or painted since the 1980s - all damaged, unappealing, and old. My first of 3 rooms hit you like a truck with a rank odor akin to a dirty litter box and poor pet care, and contained cat hair engrained into the carpets and side of the walls, and literal cat litter was found under the top mattress - you know how you check a mattress for bed bugs? Well, I found cat litter. Second room I was led to had the same odor and unappealing furniture, though minus the cat hair, it had a non-functioning toilet. These issues are indicative of select rooms being designated as pet friendly, but absolutely does not excuse the lack of attention given to cleaning and sanitation of these spaces. After reporting these issues, I was given a room that was cleaner and acceptable but still showed age and had the similar odor as the other two rooms despite being on the other side of

Terrible stay. Very disappointed with this franchise. Staff was ambivalent so...decided not to even bring these issues to their attention. Roaches, damaged furniture and safety issues...oh my!
