I loved the history of the place and the amazing view to the Southern Pre-Alps. I walked down the cobble road to the Local restaurant and had a wonderful meal and met lots of friendly locals. I found a footpath on the way back up to the Monastery and ended up at the very top of the mountain where there was a cross and old ruins The manager on duty allowed me to park my motorbike in the inner square which added to my peaceful sleep that night.

We had a wonderful two night stay here as part of our honeymoon trip. The highlight was the welcome and helpfulness of the staff (Adriana?) The property is incredible and full of history. At the top of a hill on the southern edge of the Franciacorta area, it’s a good base to explore. However unless you are a serious hiker it will be best by car, as the hill is steep. We enjoyed a tour of the property and telling of its history as well as a wine tasting. The rooms were clean and comfortable but spartan, I suppose in keeping with being a convent.

Fully recommended. Over all excellent stay, thanks to Fabiana and Davide, and their 5 star hospitality. Room was in immaculate condition, good size, proper AC and beautiful. Breakfast was out if this world. Hotel was a convent, and maintains its originality mixed with modern. Dont have enough words to describe Fabiana's hospitality and proactivity.
