Sudden cancellation of a reservation made and paid

Unfortunately, one of my reservations by the SF Central Hotel in San Francisco was cancelled by hotel. I made the reservation several months in advance, carefully planning my trip to avoid any unforeseen issues. However, just four days before my scheduled check-in, I received an email informing me that my reservation had been canceled. This abrupt communication caused me significant inconvenience and stress. With such short notice, I had very few options and was forced to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. As a result, I ended up paying a much higher price for a stay of inferior quality compared to what I had originally booked at your hotel. The lack of consideration and the short notice for the cancellation are unacceptable for a hotel that should prioritize guest satisfaction. I expected more professionalism and respect, especially since I trusted your service and made the reservation well in advance. Furthermore, I did not receive any assistance or alternative solution from the staff at hotel. I sincerely hope that the hotel will review its internal procedures to prevent future guests from experiencing the same inconvenience. This experience has severely damaged my perception of the hotel and, unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it to others.

Basic af but good stay.

It was basic but provided a good night’s rest. Don’t expect a 5 star, or a three star. You get what you pay for. Staff are nice but very much straight to the point. Parking is extra.

A good location & A great value!

The front desk staff was very helpful and assisted me at my arrival. I found the room to be cleaner and in better condition than many other hotels within the same price range. I would recommend staying here again to any of my friends from out of town who need a good location in the center of the city to rest for the night and still have a few bucks to afford a decent breakfast in the morning.

Exactly what I paid for!

I enjoyed my stay. The room I was given was exactly what I booked and came with a little extra space and a few additional windows. However, one of the room windows was cracked, but didn’t affect my security deposit nor my stay. That cracked window did make a negative difference to the room temperature. I constantly had to switch on the heater - which was a minor inconvenience. I did find it odd, though, that only one power outlet only worked & the tv was bolted into the dresser by the bed. The tv was also in Spanish which was inconvenient, as well. Room was otherwise clean, comfortable and provided me a nice rest which is what I paid for. All in all, great stay. Thank you to sf central front desk and house keeping. $100 Cash or $100 on a debit/credit card accepted for their security deposit. Deposit is $100 for entire stay not per night.
Cash deposit of $100 accepted. Make sure you hold onto the “paper receipt” showing your name and room number with the ‘$100’ amount so you can collect it at check-out.
