This was by no stretch of the imagination a 5 star hotel. Rooms, furnishings, amenities, linens, towels, etc. were all acceptable for a 3 star hotel, but five is absurd. While the hotel's website says 5, the front says 4, and even that is such an exaggeration, I plan to notify the tourist authorities.

I was welcomed with a glass of cava at check in and after paperwork wss completed, shown to my room upstairs. The room was well appointed with a bottle of chilled cava in the ice bucket and a basjet of fresh fruit items. The doors opened up to the large balcony overlooking the pool area and sea beyond. The bathroom was well stocked with separate toilet with bidet. The room was cleaned during the day with a turn down service at night. The inclusive breakfast had hot items cooked to order as well as fresh fruit, meats and Canarian cheeses as well as bread, fresh pastries, yogurts and cereals served with freshly squeezed orange juice and hot drinks. The food was excellent and all staff were warm and friendly. Lovely walk from the Villa along the coastline to Arrecife or Playa Honda.

Villa Vik was a great place for a peaceful holiday with excellent accommodation, food and staff. Swimming in the pool was a real pleasure. Our only reservation was that there were too few staff on duty; often it appeared that just one person had to set tables, staff reception and serve drinks at the bar / pool. They did so cheerfully and helpfully but were stretched.

Sauber, gutes Essen und ruhige Lage sind die positiven Aspekte des Hotels. Leider beschränkt sich der Service darauf, daß den Gästen zu den Essenszeiten die Mahlzeiten serviert werden. Die Rezeption ist nie besetzt, für Checkin/-out und Fragen muss man nach Personal suchen. Die Steingartenanlage wurde von einem Gärtner in Ordnung gehalten, aber leider ist die Poolanlage in einem äußerst schlechten Zustand. Außerdem wird der Pool nicht geheizt und im zerschundenen Whirlpool befand sich kein Wasser.

Hotel muy tranquilo en una zona bien comunicada

El Hotel está en una urbanización muy cerca de la ciudad y de Arrecife. Con coche es muy fácil ir a cualquier dirección de la isla, estás muy bien comunicado. Es un hotel muy pequeño y tranquilo frecuentado por parejas. Dispone de una agradable piscina con un entorno muy cuidado. La cena es de buena calidad. El personal es super amable y atento con los huespedes. Si he de encontrar algún fallo es la decoración de la habitación, para mi un poco obsoleta y cargada. El desayuno también tiene una pega, los embutidos, son de poca calidad, aunque todo lo demás es muy bueno y te cocinan lo que te apetezca. Nuestra habitación era muy amplia y disponía de jacuzzi, aunque estaba un poco deteriorado. De todas formas no dudaría en volver a alojarme en este hotel, estuvimos muy comodos

Quiet, peaceful hotel.

This is a very quiet and tranquil hotel no hustle or bustle. Just the place t o recharge your batteries. There is a lovely sea front very close to the hotel and one can walk briskly or stroll towards the town. The staff are always trying to please you and make your stay enjoyable. The menu , though limited is nicely cooked and presented. Sadly some of the guests smoked in the semi enclosed area near the dining room.

Relaxing Break

Spent 4 nights here and really enjoyed it. Staff couldn't do enough for us and despite a few previous negative reviews about the food, we found it to be tasty and well presented. Breakfast was excellent, evening meal choices were however usually limited to 3 starters and 3 mains - no surprise in an hotel of just 14 rooms though! Our bedroom was well appointed and the free Wi-Fi in both bedrooms and reception area worked well. Our twice-daily maid service was thorough and our room was kept spotlessly clean. Choice of TV channels was poor - but not a deal-breaker for us. You definitely need a car when staying here as there is little within walking distance to visit. As stated, the hotel is situated in a residential area, so may not be for everyone.

Lovely boutique hotel with warm welcoming staff

We were fortunate to have been allocated the best room In the hotel which was beautiful and spacious with a fantastic balcony and jacuzzi looking out across the garden to the sea. All the staff were eager to please and warm and friendly. The decor was complimented with interesting and aesthetically pleasing art. Whilst the menus were limited in choice the quality was good for the size of hotel. The free bike hire was an unexpected benefit too.

Erg fijn hotel, geweldig personeel, rustige plek!

Very exclusive, a private villa with staff!

Being such a relatively small Hotel it was like staying in a private Villa. In a quiet residential location the skillfully laid out poolside areas allow privacy or a more communal experience where you can chat with other guests if you so desire. The staff are good humoured and friendly and made one feel very at ease, the service good but relaxed without the tip seeking over attentiveness one can experience elsewhere. Worth the slightly higher price for an up market experience.

Sehr ruhig gelegenes, sauberes Hotel, von dem aus man zu Fuß/per Fahrrad entlang der Promenade sehr komfortabel nach Puerto del Carmen und Arrecife kommt. Trotz Flughafennähe keine Lärmbelästigung. Abendessen ist verbesserungswürdig.

Fantastico Hotel Appena fuori del centro popolato ,a 50 metri dal mare è ben collegato alla rete urbanistica. Personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo. Cucina più che degna di merito sia a colazione che a cena. Camere ben arredate in stile locale ma moderno; dotate di connessione internet buona, servizio in camera efficiente e rapido. Qualche piccolo dettaglio sulle dotazioni personali trascurato e qualc'un altro su piccole riparazioni/difetti delle camere, che comunque si tralasciano una volta trascorsi i primi 2 giorni Great Hotel near the downtown ,at 50 meters from the sea is well connected to urban net. Staff very friendly and proffessional. Kitchen eccelent for the breakfast and the dinner. Good rooms design in local style but oriented to modern; with good internet connection, room service very efficiently and quickly. Few details on amenities and personal neglected qualc'un other small repairs on / defects of the rooms, however, are omitted once spent the first 2 days

Lovely private small hotel

Wonderful staff & personal service. Quiet location & perfect if you want to get away from the hustle & bustle, but plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance. However, although indicated as 5 star it is not that and I think someone used to 5-star hotels would come away disappointed, but it is a very good 4-star. The one area that does let the hotel down is the food, it is of a pretty poor standard and you are better off just having breakfast and then eating out
