Amazingly spacious 2 bed suite with huge balcony- perfect for friends sharing. Service around the pool was great during the day- very slow in the evening.Rooms are dated but clean. Location is great as a base for exploring Cairo.

If you're after spotlessly clean, new and shiny, look elsewhere. However, it's welcoming, comfortable, quiet, relatively affordable and the staff are very obliging.

Too old hotel. It was interesting to see. It must be a great place long time ago but with no renovation, facilities go down. Staff was nice but time to renovate. Maybe it is the case for entire Cairo. View from the balcony was great. Breakfast was fine.

A unique hotel, with excellent, but also some very odd features. Firstly, the location is great, with a big pool area overrlooking the Nile. Very good housekeeping, beds and the sheer size of the suites is amazing (I guess 150 square metres). Bathrooms are clean and functional, with good amenities, but they are very old, and really need a facelift. What we were not prepared for was the style of the old Russian «politburo»-architecture with furnishings and strange adjacent boiler rooms etc., but if you come prepared, I guess this could give nice «John le Carré»-vibes …
All in all, very good value for money.

The rooms are enormous although the air conditioning unit in my room was fairly noisy. Comfortable bed. The room I was in had both UK and EU sockets.

I like the size of the accomodation. I was really big maybe 1600 square feet. It has 2 bedrooms. One with desk and chair, 2 toilets, separate kitchen, balconies, laundry room. When you wash the clothes, they come and collect wet clothes and dry them and bring them back.

We loved the size. We loved the nile view, and being so close to the nile entertainment promenade. The staff, was very friendly and wanted to help. The house cleaning staff were especially great. Value overall is strong. Oh beds and linens were comfortable and clean.
But the hotel is old and shabby. The carpeting hard large dark areas, but felt equally soft everywhere. The showers were not great. I asked other guests at breakfast everyone had issues. Some of our shower issues were resolved some less so. It's an old building.

I would have given this a 5 star, but: 1) there was no VIP wellcome. 2) No basic cooking utensils. 3) Oven was not working. 4) Parking on site is expensive.
The positives: 1) Huge and spacious suite. 2)Clean 3) Good location. I can recommend this to my family and friends. It is certainlyone of the best stays I had.

I always look for places that have lots of space and a washer because I can pack lighter. This fit the bill. The space was so far it felt like the kitchen was a half-block away (well, it kinda was). And I didn't have to hang the cloths out to dry: it was a washer/dryer all-in-one machine.
The living room/dining area was huge, I'd say 25'x15' and, as I discovered after four days, a wonderful balcony with a settee, chairs, and table. Hadn't thought to pull the curtains.
The master bedroom was a corner room so you could see the Nile and the city, which was a fantastic view. The second bedroom went unused but it was nice as well.
The only thing that could use an upgrade is the bathroom. The tub is very old and patched up, but more importantly is about 5-6" taller than any tub I've seen. You have to step up very high to get in the shower and there are no grab bars. Not a deal-breaker for most, but if you're elderly, short, out of shape, arthritic...it may be hard. You may want to inquire with the property; some suites may have more updated bathrooms.
The hotel is in a very secluded area, so if you stay, either use the hotel's amenities (great food, 24 hours) or get what you need while off-property. No easy walk for groceries or convenience store. Again, not a deal-breaker, just something to plan: get your junk food before you settle in.
Cairo is not a sleepy village! This hotel is a nice respite from the others I saw, and good to decompress at.

The room was very neglected - carpet was old and dirty (I took photos and video) and the bedroom lock did not have a lock - I did not feel safe. The only lock was in the apartment door. Bathroom was ancient and tiles were dirty and the tub was painted over and the paint chipped. Towels and bedsheets very old and stained.
But staff were very nice and entrance is elegant.
Too bad, great location, but I cannot recommend it at all!

The location of the hotel was great! The view of the Nile River was beautiful. The space itself is very large and cozy. Staff was very helpful. Bathrooms were a little outdated but everything else was perfect! Private kitchen and laundry was a great bonus as well.
