Worst Booking Imaginable

Booked through here but upon arrival, they stated they are called a different name now and so they cannot find the booking. Ended up booking a separate room out of necessity (as nothing else was available in the area at 10 PM) and the room smelled like mildew, there was old furniture trashed in the parking garage, AC units were falling apart in the hallways, the balcony had broken dirty chairs stacked up in the corner that you couldn't sit on, and it just seemed like a completely unsafe sketchy place - which is crazy due to the price being charged. Also, upon arrival, one of the managers (or owner) was going around the parking area with his flashlight checking parking passes and asked us what we're doing - I said we're checking in, so don't tow us! Later on, I noticed several other vehicles being towed... understandable to an extent, but it seemed like this was just unnecessary to a degree and was a portrayal of how they operate. Overheard a lady complaining about being double-charged and the manager said he needs to speak to the person who booked and blew the lady off. Kids were jumping in the pool until 3 AM... couldn't sleep. The list could go on. Definitely will never return. **Ocean Star is apparently the "new name" of the hotel. Stay away.

Abandoned Beachfront Hotel? Weird

Well the room was ok, the bathroom was a little beat up, price was good, the elevator was in horrible shape, it looked like an abandoned prison elevator. I think we were the only guests and there was no front desk person so we had to actually check in through the neighboring hotel the days Inn. We probably should’ve stayed there too.

Stay away!!!!!!

I wasn’t expecting the room to look like that. On the booking site it looks nice but when I got there. The room had a terrible Oder, wasn’t clean, toilet was messed up, bathtub was clogged. I can go on an on. I wasn’t satisfied at all.

Shady environment. Did not feel safe or comfortable. Door entrance to room had obviously been broken into at some point. Wood missing on door and could actually see through it from room into foyer. Roach bugs crawling through balcony door. Appeared to be no maintenance in decades. No batteries in remote. No plates on electrical outlets. Needs to be condemned. Had I known, I would NOT have paid $25 per night much less $150!! RIPP OFF!

Worst Place Ive ever Stayed!

When we got there, there was a sign on the office door stating it was closed because the clerk was off checking the property. Why do they not carry a portable phone with the main number forwarded to it? We had to wait almost 30 mins for her to come! Our first room was disgusting! When we walked in, there were dead and live bugs on the floor, it smelled, no remote, and the toilet didnt work! Gave us a somewhat better room, but it had no remote, no iron, and when you got in the shower, it sounded like the floor was about to fall thru!

Worst experience of my entire life

This is the worst experience I’ve ever experienced it smelled horrific, mold in the room, Pipes exposed in the room, nasty bugs, walked in the room turned around walked back out to find another hotel I’ve never in my entire life experience something like this, with my children and 74-year-old mother!

The property looked very rpugh from the outside. I asked to view a room before I stayed. The building was falling apart. Elevator did not work. It looked like poop smeared on walls in stairwell. Got in room and the lock on door was broke. The room was filthy and stunk bad. We left immediately

Beach getaway

Our stay was great, the Hotel was nasty hair and dust everywhere and there was a half drink in refrigerator that had no shelves to even put anything in.

So to start the room had cockroaches, broken coffee maker, broken toilet paper holder. The ac barely kept the room comfortable at times. The office was only open first few days we stayed and then we had to go to another hotel for basic things like toilet paper because the room got no service. The only saving point to this room was it was right on the beach and i could see the ocean.

The room was horribly filthy. Mold everywhere, door knobs not attached to the door, chipping paint, outlet covers overlapping, screws sticking out of the wall, etc. We didn’t even get to stay. Had to request our money back and spend hours finding another hotel last minute.

Clean, but nothing special.

Room was clean, but had paint peeling on the ceiling. We had to ask for towels. The bottom parking deck can flood if there is a lot of rain.

Nightmare!!!

Wasn’t what I expected. Dirty, nasty, stinking elevator. Roaches in room. I don’t see how the board of health allow places like this to be in business. Another sight unseen disaster!!!!

Besides the fact that this place is old, it is not well maintained. The receptionist come and go as she pleased. The staff didn’t clean the room for us, they just took dirty towels and put new ones on bed without cleaning anything or making the bed (we removed everything from bed). As a result, we had to come and asked for toilet paper. Also, shower knob got loose and fell off. We will definitely never come back here.

The pool and location was nice. The thin walls and older windows made it hard to sleep. The walls were dirty, there were water stains. There was noise from other guests swimming and laughing until 1 am in the morning on a Friday night early July. The beach access was great. Generally everything felt old and a more than a little dirty at this hotel.
