The property, the staff, and everything about our stay, here was excellent. The location to the beach and all of the things in downtown or within 10 minutes or less. Beautiful oasis in the midst of Tamarindo. Amazing staff, gorgeous pool area and tropical gardens. Great bungalow accommodation with excellent privacy and amenities. Attentive owner was helpful in giving tips about the area. Loved every minute of our stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended!

Room was clean, well equipped and bed was super comfy. Pool area was nice with plenty of areas of shade to avoid the sun. Very convenient location. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something quaint with a local vibe.
The resident iguana made regular appearances.
Howler monkeys kept us entertained.

We had a great time and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The only thing is that our room was never cleaned nor were our beds made each day. We were just given new towels and had our trash emptied out. Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves and the location was perfect for walking around to restaurants, nightlife and the beach.

The location is very convenient to everything but can be a little noisy at night (mostly talking about the bad karaoke singing haha). There are many animals around which is fun to see. The property is really charming. The breakfast options could be better for vegans but the staff tried their best to accommodate us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel

The hotel is a very short walk to the main downtown area. Just far enough away to avoid the noise but close enough to be there in a few minutes. The pool is amazing! Staff is very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and air conditioned, and the beds were comfortable.

Hotel Pasatiempo is right in town and walking distance to many restaurants, live music and the beach and at the same time it feels like a lush oasis. Lots of beautiful palm trees and plenty of wildlife like iguanas and monkey visits in the mornings. Very quiet considering how close you are to everything.

Small hotel with a nice made to order restaurant. Within walking distance of everything you need. Across the street is a grocery store, down the street is the beach, coffee shops, many different restaurants. I was there with two children (10, 11,) and my husband and we felt safe the entire time. The hotel has security and closes a gate at night. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend. We saw cool birds, iguanas and monkeys while there!
