Owner was the most hospitable. Place itself was clean, stocked up with basic things, and locationally was great as it as walkable to the train station. The only thing to note is that the rooms aren’t very sound proof, but we had no issues with noise during our stay.

We stayed 4 nights when we came to Rome. We had a busy schedule sightseeing and wanted a simple place. The location is great - a half-block from St. Mary Majeure Basilica), with food and bus stop nearby. Termini Station is about a 10-15 minute walk. Karin was wonderful and helpful with information. Lighting could be better when you get off the elevator at night. Breakfast was good. Overall, nice stay.

Our stay at Merulana Inn was incredible.It is small hotel with only 6 rooms located in down town of Rome. Very clean, modern with touch of antics and nicely decorated. The breakfast was very good with a lot of cold cuts,cheeses , fruits and pastries. The staff is very professional, helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to make us feel home.

Staff was very friendly. very detail information when we checked in. Room is nice. Great location, walkable to many attractions. Many restaurants and stores nearby. Will stay there agin if in the area. One note, the building may not be the easiest to find since there's no big sign out front. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, so there was no problem.

The hotel is in a fantastic location — walking distance to major sites like the Colosseum and Santa Maria Maggiore, and surrounded by charming restaurants and cafes. The room was spotless, quiet, and comfortably furnished with modern touches like USB charging ports and strong Wi-Fi. The bed was cozy, and the air conditioning worked perfectly during the hot summer days. What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and always available with great local tips. They made me feel truly cared for. Breakfast was simple but fresh and satisfying, with good coffee and a nice variety of pastries and fruit. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and well-maintained, giving it a boutique charm. I highly recommend Hotel Merulana for anyone visiting Rome. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, location, and outstanding hospitality. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to the city.

Ideal location

We were very. Pleasantly surprise ,Lisa the receptionist was really lovely and helpful ,we were offered free breakfast and our room was really clean and pleasant. Clean white fluffy towels every day . The terminal was just around the corner ,it was very central and a great little bar just around the corner.We will definitely recommend this lovely friendly place .

Merulana one night stay

The room was very small and the bed was very hard alhough it was a king. The shower was broken so the shower nozzle was about waist high. The location is amazing and check in was easy. We needed wine glasses and they provided them for us. Overall the stay was fine for one night as a tranfer prior to leaving Rome but I would not stay longer than that.

Good size bedroom and great location

It was a very pleasant stay with the good price we paid for the accommodation. Room is spacious with good air conditioning and shower facilities. Pillows and mattress are of decent quality. Staff and kitchen ladies are friendly and attentive to our needs. Location: Rome Termini train station can be a bit dodgy and the B&B is located a couple streets away from it so makes us feel safe. During our stay, there was some construction work going on so every morning we would hear banging noise around 9am which was quite annoying. Otherwise a great stay and would recommend.

The location is good because it’s very close to the train station. The room was basic but cleaned. On the first night, I noticed that the shower curtain at the bottom had mold on it, and I was going to complain. But when I came back from Exploring the next day, I noticed that the shower curtain had been replaced. So the cleaning people saw it on the second day and replaced it, which was good. The breakfast is very good. And the staff is friendly and helpful.

Great location for easy walking to shops and food, not too far from train station if you need to wheel your luggage like we did. The hotel is entirely on one floor and you take a cute little 2 person elevator to get there. The staff communicates well via WhatsApp and the are very kind.
