A warm welcome and a beautiful hotel!!

The hosts Julie and Chris are very nice. Warm welcome is delivered and they will show you the ways to the main attractions!! Hotel breakfast is Yorkshire type and the quality are excellent. Facilities in room are satisfactory, reliable WIFI is provided. you can also find hair dryer and TV in your room. Toilet area are big enough and hotel water for shower are available. The hotel, located on St Mary 23, are convenient for you to walk to the downtown and the environment is safe. All in all, I will recommend it to others!!

Loved this guest house near the center of York! Fiona was a lovely host and provided so much insight and knowledge about what to do and where to go. Our room was quiet and comfortable along with excellent amenities.

It was a greally lovely stay. the place was really sweet and beautifully decorated. The staff were really lovely and attentive. Arriving early was no problem for us and we could drop our bags off etc etc so they were great. The location was excellent and you could walk into the centre of town within 5-10 mins! The cleanliness of the place was impressive. I loved how clean it was. We were on the top floor. The only issue was the quietness. I say quietness because it was not really noisy. The house was old, so you could hear the floors creaks and the pipes a little bit We are light sleepers so we struggled a little bit.

Svær at bedømme. Da vi ankom var vi meget tilfreds med værelset. Men opdagede hurtigt at der var ingen vand. Vi blev hurtigt tilbudt et værelse et andet sted i byen. Her var værelset også fint men noget længere væk fra byen.

Absolute gem of a B&B near the Minster

Absolute gem of a B&B near the Minster. I traveled with a friend from the US so she could see York. The B&B is ideally situated a short walk from the city walls and York Minster. It never felt too far to walk back from the city attractions, but it was far enough out of the centre to be quiet and feel safe. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and comfortable. The staff are lovely. Nothing was too much to ask. Very accommodating; great communication. Don't be put off by the self-check in after 4 pm. It's very easy.

Nice and quaint little B&B! Be prepared that there is no elevator - I was on the top floor myself. But lovely for a one-night stay. Staff was responsive and friendly, and check-in was smooth. Though a note: if you check in after 2, staff will not be onsite to let you in (they leave you with easy instructions, however). Would come back again!

Very nice guesthouse!

Our room was very comfortable for a family of 4. We had one king and two twin beds, and the room was spacious enough to enjoy our short excursion to York. The location was fantastic. We could walk to the train station and to the city center. The street is quiet and beautiful. The bathroom was a highlight. It was spotless and looked recently renovated. The only thing was that we never saw any adult staff on the premises. The teen girls that worked there were very nice but couldn’t answer some of our questions. It would have been nice to have had face to face interaction with the owners or adult staff. Overall, we would stay there again and give it bonus points for cleanliness.

Llegamos temprano dejamos maleta y la subieron a la habitación. Último piso 50 escalones!! 😫 sabía que no había elevador pero eso sí es demasiado!! Hacia un calor terrible la habitación bonita buen colchón pero chiquitita nosotros no pedimos matrimonial pero ya no había nadie a esa hora para ayudar. Dormimos con el ventilador prendido pero no fue buena noche por el caloron y escándalo del ventilador
