Breakfast was good. Accommodation was very basic for price, water pressure very low , bathroom door very hard to open, sticky catch. Tv very small for size of room. Needs a deep clean. Bedding and towels were clean.

8/10 Very good

Visiting family in the area so very convenient. Hotel is next to a busy road but you cannot hear any traffic within the rooms. Lovely hot shower and cosy towels. Owners very pleasant and friendly with a warm welcome. Enjoyed our stay in Spitfire room.

Loved it

Stayed her on 3 separate occasions in the last 2 weeks (good price for a hotel not too far from Papworth Hospital) landlord/owner and his daughter who works in the bar/restaurant are great. Hoping to visit again in less stressful circumstances with my husband once he gets out of hospital

6/10 Good

Stayed one night, arrived late, left after breakfast. Nice room. Good breakfast. Convenient location. Can't spell Phantom (as in the plane), Nothing in room re WiFi, no television remote. The rooms are all aircraft named, as close to Duxford. Don't think I'd stay again, but thank you to the two people I did see!

Solo Motorcycle trip

I stayed for one night and check in was without any issue, the staff were very friendly and I got straight to my room. Later on the staff allowed me to move my motorcycle out of view from the road and bring it into the court yard which was appreciated. The rooms are a little dated, but everything worked. Most importantly the room was very clean, with decent towels, bedding and facilities. Mine (Tiger Moth) had a walk in shower, toilet and sink in the bathroom and then a double bed, TV and furniture with tea/coffee making facilities in the main room. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms are named after military aircraft, probably due to the IWM Duxford being down the road. The breakfast the next day was spot on, a full English cooked breakfast with tea/coffee and cereals. For the price I certainly cannot fault it!

No Wifi Poor phone Signal

There is no wifi, the bulb in the room was very dim. You had to close the curtains as there were no nets and the window looked out into the beer garden. One bar phone signal made hotspot very slow when possible. no good for work.

2/10 Poor

Would not recommend or stay again

Very Cheap nasty hotel, very small double bed, no free Wi-Fi not everything on the listing was in the room. No iron, soap was rose scented which my partner is allergic to. Very thick/ heavy duvet in the middle of summer, bedding was cheap. Woke up to ants in the room and on the bed. TV kept randomly turning on and saying there was reminders set, shower was grimey and wasn’t draining properly. Toilet did not flush correctly toilet paper was very cheap and thin. No privacy with room window, can see straight through the curtains. only 1 towel for a double room. Kettle and mugs were dirty. Did not feel welcome in the pub, felt like we was intruding the landlords family gathering. Check in was poor, no details taken other then a name. Check out was not much better, just got asked to hand keys over. Breakfast was served with a very undercooked egg. Electrical safety clearly ignored in both room and the pub, 3 extensions plugged into each other in the pub.

Needed three rooms for an overnight stay for a wedding reception. Rooms were clean and comfy. Free full English breakfast was very tasty. Dave was very welcoming and helpful, went above and beyond helping us with taxis when we were let down and struggling to book transport.

Caught up in someone else’s party

Staff are friendly, food is good (especially the breakfast), beer is also decent. Room was clean and as expected. The room was a little tired around the edges and the water pressure was very low but nothing problematic. Our issue was we got caught up in a party that went on late (have a young child) and our room was right next to the exit from the bar with the other guest giving us drunken shenanigans till 1am. Limited sleep unfortunately.

Good room except our shower

Just an overnight trip so needed something special, but the shower in our room wouldn’t full a kettle just a drip. Breakfast was ok and edible to keep us going.

A lot of noise and no real coffee

A lit of nouse outside from a party that lasted past 10 pm. The free breakfast was cancelled one of the days. There is no real coffee at breakfast. Only instant.

Lovely friendly atmosphere

Had a one night stay booked, as we had an evening wedding reception to go to nearby. We arrived early as we wanted to have a relaxing lunch and not have to rush. Easy access off the A505, ample parking. Had a delicious lunch from a varied menu, quiet, but a lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were fantastic, very attentive. The accommodation was on par with the price we paid, it did the job! Breakfast was lovely in the morning, just what we needed. Check in and out was easy.

Well located for Duxford

The service was excellent through the stay. The rooms are set in converted buildings away from the main building which overlook the common used courtyard. The evening meal was well cooked and large portions with a choice related of burgers, chicken, pizza and chips. The room was well located for Duxford and the Air Show we attended and suited us for an overnight stay.

Great stay

The bar is very small and closes early - we were exhausted so certainly wasn’t an issue for us and the restaurant was a decent size. Meal was good, great selection of drinks, room (spitfire) was clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The young lady (owners daughter?) served us in the evening and the following morning very efficiently and competently so thankyou! Breakfast was included , very tasty and perfect size. First time staying here and I will stay again

Very good for a short stay. Room was a bit small but clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff are very good. Plenty of choice for a good freshly cooked breakfast,

Not a great experience

The breakfast was good, everything else, not so much. Floor was creaky and uneven. Shower was weak and either scolding or freezing. Mattress was past its best. Main window was covered by a thin curtain, small box window didn’t have anything to cover it. Found a dead fly on the floor. Positives were that we did get clean bedding and towels. it was quiet, although don’t think there was anyone else in our building. Ample parking. Easy to find. Bar and restaurant was okay

Generally fine. Clean room, adequate for my stay. Good choice of burgers and hotdogs but little else on the menu. Breakfast was fine with the chef prepared to make your choice. On a main road so never going to be quiet! The permanent funfair right outside was unexpected though. To be fair(!) it did close down at 9pm. Lots of opportunity to walk (run for me)locally on quieter side roads. Duxford is 5 minutes drive (the main reason for my visit) with an RSPB site just a couple of miles away also.
