The comfort inn in Winnie Texas is the best place to stay, in our opinion, if one wants to stay in Winnie. It is basic, but has comfortable beds, clean rooms, dated but decent, and rather meagre breakfast options. The staff (especially Lisette) are extremely friendly and helpful. We will stay here again on our frequent birding trips to High Island and Anahuac.

The hotel is very clean, but the rooms are incredibly dark. Besides the fact that there are very few light sources in the rooms, the wall paint, drapes, and bedcovers are all dark colors. The breakfast food was adequate - uninspiring but adequate. The mattresses in our room needed to be replaced.

This hotel delivers on what is expected. Other hotels have missed essentials such as soap, towels, coffee. Comfort Inn Winnie was dependable because they had every single thing I needed. I need a working ice machine - they had it. I needed lids for a coffee to go - they had it. I needed shampoo - they had it. All these and many, many other small things added up and they delivered 100% of the time.
