Photos are deceptive —this is not a luxury hotel, it’s a slightly dingy resort. The main house is nice but you can’t even see it from some of the rooms

A stunning hotel with a lot of charm and character. Quiet and peaceful. Located about out the way but staff were wonderful and friendly. Nothing was too much if you asked them for anything. A wonderful place to stop. Every meal was lovely and I would recommend the food from the stone and ivy to anyone.

We had a nice stay and the staff are great. This is the second time we have stayed and was extremely disappointed in the breakfast quality this time. Food was dry and juices not replenished and it wasn’t even busy. The room was extremely hot too so not a pleasant experience by far.
