The hotel is just a 2 minute walk from the south pier so the location is great, or a 10 minute walk to the bars such as The Manchester or Reflex. Keith And Sheila were very friendly and made us very welcome. Keith was most helpful with information of where the best nightlife was for what we wanted and good eateries. Thank you for the lovely breakfast Sheila, and for buying in vegetarian sausages for my vegetarian partner specially for us coming, this was much appreciated. If you are wanting a hotel at a good rate, friendly banter, and a nice breakfast the next morning - this is the place to book.

Basic hotel, as expected by 2 star rating. Booked for convenience to local music venue visited and availability of unrestricted free on-street parking outside. Bedroom was reasonable size and bed was comfortable, but the en-suite bathroom was too small for someone my size (194cm and 140kg) as I struggled to use the toilet, squeezed in between a wall and the adjacent shower cubicle. Surfaces above 5" high were very dusty - e.g. top of wardrobe and top of coat rack. I'm a non-smoker, but despite 'No Smoking' signs (and a warning that anyone caught smoking would be asked to leave) there was a pervasive smell of stale cigarette smoke in my room - possibly from the wardrobe, perhaps from clothes of previous occupants? Some air fresheners or similar may have helped. Just for somewhere to sleep it was perfectly adequate, the breakfast was reasonable (although fresh orange juice would be a big improvement over the squash served) and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Cheap and cheerful sums this place up.
