The property needs some updating. The air conditioning was not working correctly. When we first got in the room everything was wet. The humidity was really high. Both floors were wet. Had to turn on the heat to dry everything out and then turn off the unit completely. Also the facets in the bathtub was backwards so we thought we didn’t have hot water. The front dest suggested the faucet was inverted and it was.

Way. way , way over priced

This place is convenient to downtown Norfolk.....but I could and should have paid the same price and stayed downtown. The place is old, decorated old, feels old......tv's from the 90's, alarm clocks with no ports for plugging in phone....it's 2023 and felt like 2003 in that place. You can tell that ownership invests NOTHING in that property

If you like Weed Smoke and Barking Dogs...

BEWARE: Though hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating, the smell a marijuana poured through the vents into our room constantly. The kennel across the street provided a soundtrack of barking dogs morning, noon and all thru the night. The beds were clean and comfortable but the bathroom was stained, dirty and had poorly patched up walls. Overall, the hotel smelled stuffy, mildewy, damp and smokey. Couldnt stay more than one night, had to move my children to a different hotel.

Check In was supposed to be 3 pm but our room wasn’t clean until almost 9. Evening staff were not good. The lady working the desk told me to go out and find a manger who was smoking on his break and ask him about the room taking so long instead of her checking with house keeping. Rooms were suitable and comfortable but after a 10 Hour drive we didn’t want to Wait 6 hours in a lobby for a clean room that I booked and paid for 8 months earlier

The third floor had a nasty odor.The hotel seemed like a refurbished hotel. They assuredly need the rugs replaced. They are stinky and smelly. No bath towels supplied I had to request 3x .my room had a kitchen with no silverware and coffee cups that didn't fit the coffee machine. So for the price of the room to me it wasn't worth it. The only good thing was it's convenience to military highway a main highway. But the man who checked me in was very nice

Very disappointing stay

Pretty disappointing stay for our 1-night family of four. The first room had a soaking wet carpeted floor around the wall AC unit, which was discovered after my son stepped on it. Concerned about mold, we asked for a new room from the helpful and kind front desk rep. The new room had visible dirt marks on the walls and doors, many which looked like they could have been wiped clean with minimal effort. Also, the bathroom had no hair dryer. When we asked for one at the front desk, we were told that there were none available, which prompted an unplanned trip to go purchase one. Pretty disappointing since it was advertised as an amenity. My email complaint to the hotel has gone unanswered for several days, so I am posting a public review to warn others. We will not be coming back, for sure.
