It’s a decent hotel with a good restaurant, but it could be even better Room layout was impractical and made it stuffy and hard to sleep, and felt over priced Dinner was good but I didn’t realise we were in a London priced gastro pub until we saw the bill hit 3 figures for one course and a bottle of wine But breakfast was a revelation and must do if you are overnight in Alnmouth. The local kippers are a treat for the ages

Very clean everywhere. Staff very friendly. Breakfast great selection. Toiletries in bathroom, luxury ones. Only negative was the twin bedded room, had to squeeze around 2 beds to get into them, not enough space.

Lovely hotel in Alnmouth. Breakfast was AMAZING. Didn’t eat dinner but wish we had, it looked excellent. The room was compact but decorated to a very high standard. Shower was excellent and everything was very clean. Only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is because of the pillows on the bed. They were awful which meant we didn’t sleep very well. Also some odd design flaw in the coffee area. The kettle cord didn’t reach the socket so you had to balance it on the stool. I would stay again though, as the staff were lovely too. But next time I will ask to change the pillows.
