This place is affordable, conveniently located, and best of all the staff is amazing. Melissa—the main host—is attentive, friendly, and very considerate. The pool and spa are offsite, but the jacuzzi is relaxing. The facilities do need some work, but for the price is worth it. This will be my go to place when staying in the colonial zone.

Great location, great price, but needs some attention to details. And it needs to have good water service most of all. Shouldn't be open to guests without an effective water service in the bathrooms.

Horrible experience

We did a reservation and pay online. And at the hotel they want to us pay in cash. The manager say to us is not his problem, the hotel doesn't have nothing to do with this website, that what the manager said to us. We lost the money and the reservation after the check in, they kick us out and on top of that we have to pay extra for the few hours the we stay

No parking available, no hot water, low AC and low privacy, cracks on door you can see the bed from outside on room 205

It’s a very poor condition. No one was available to check us in, except for two Haitian girls who didn’t know Spanish well neither knew what to do. The bathroom door didn’t close. The walls in the bedroom were dirty and needing paint. The sink faucet didn’t have water, the shower had water but only cold water. The beds were okay, clean. The AC worked good.

Not this time

I have stayed here with pleasure on two previous occasions, yet each time at check in the manager could not locate my reservation and this time was no different, he is not even familiar with Hotels.com, yet this time when I stayed there was no internet working hardly at all, almost non existent, which is one of the primary reasons I choose this location, also there is no cable or tv or nothing in the room to keep your attention. AC was fine, room was clean, I had to go out to another room for bathroom facilities. I was not pleased this time primarily for lack of internet services, and it cost me to lose money.

Deceived by online pictures. Reception area seemed to serve more purposes as theres a sofa behind locked iron bars. Area small and congested. No landline or computer, staff used mobile. Room door handle loose and no proper safety lock. There is a gap in the door frame visible enough to see through and from. Bed sheet stained and blood spots. Bathroom mildew stains, toilet not stuck to floor, wiggly. And I guess its a norm in DR the morning after there was no running water

Do Not stay here unless you absolutely have to. Certainly, do not bring your girlfriend/wife. Check in= No computer- no way to confirm your stay. Property is locked= You have to yell "HOLA" until the lady comes and unlocks the door. Across the street is a small, triangular park where people drink and yell all night. Staff yells conversation through the hallways all day and half the night. Room= small table, small sink. No dresser- a closet w. a shelf (just stack your stuff up). Toilet= No toilet seat Shower= could not adjust the water- it was boiling hot (unusable). The air conditioner was great. Super close to the main avenue in the Colonial Zone. Lisa, the lady who works there, only speaks Spanish but she is super-nice and super-competent. If not for her, this place would be a -5.

A brothel

Upon check-in the kids and I witnessed a prostitute walking the halls and passing us at the check-in desk. You think I would have gotten the clue.... Check-in took about 30 minutes but we finally got the rooms. I couldn't even imagine rooms being more disgusting: the beds looked like they were found in the street, the rooms and bathrooms were filthy. We dropped our luggage and left (we didn't plan to sleep there, we just needed a place to keep out luggage until 1am when were going to leave for the airport to catch our flight). We toured Santo Domingo (which we loved) and returned to the hotel at 11pm. The children (11 and 12 years old) opened our hotel room door to find a man naked in our bed with two prostitutes! Our luggage was in the room, so we took our bags and walked out at 11pm, obviously extremely upset. Look at the price of this hotel. There is a reason for this low price. It is for prostitutes and their clients. Stay anywhere else.

Muuy malo

The hotel is very basic, the walls are dirty, the floors are in poor condition, and the bathroom is in very bad condition. It must be said that the hotels in the area are just as bad, only the 120 USD hotels have better conditions.
