We had a two room suite for the three of us and it was very comfortable. However, the bathroom was very extremely small. The rooms were clean. The location was convenient to many attractions and we walked almost everywhere we went in Madrid.

This is a hostel but has the option of rooms with private bathroom. That’s the one I took. The room was very clean, everything works inside the room. The location is excellent. Just steps to Plaza Del Sol, the metro station and the principal attractions and shops of Madrid

This is a very basic hostal in close proximity to the Plaza Mayor and the heart of Madrid. It is quiet, clean, and secure and everything is in good working order. Reception is available 24 hours and the staff is familiar with the area and helpdul. If you require modern and updated lodging, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an affordable and convenient place in central Madrid, this could be the place for you.

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay. Alfredo was a great front desk host and gave us great directions to find our way around. We arrived early. Our room was not quite ready so they stored our luggage while we went and ate lunch. Then we were able to get in to our room early. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet. This room was a perfect location. We could walk to Retiro Park and the Palacio Real and everywhere in between. There were many food options very nearby. The Sol metro station is just a 2 min walk- if that. FYI- if using an uber or taxi- be aware that a lot of times the street is blocked to traffic except police and deliveries. You will need to meet/leave the taxi/uber at the corner- it is not far at all though.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Check in was easy and we could store our luggage. We did have to buzz into the main building every time which was odd, but there was always someone to let us in. The room was small, but for a Hostal it was enough (considering we had our own bathroom in the room). It could be cleaner—the ceiling was peeling above our shower, the shower head was on the floor of the tub when we arrived, and the comforter and blankets did not seem to be as clean as the sheets. Overall, I would probably book again.

The place is very plain if you are looking for just to sleep then it’s ok but nothing else (no breakfast, no iron, no hair dryer, no minim fridge, not even a lobby to sit in to do some work and meet up) plain just a bed and a bathroom that’s it I wouldn’t stay there again Yes it’s convenient as a location but not if you have a car

Excellent staff was very friendly and helpful. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Very clean and plenty of electrical outlets. Extra blankets were very helpful. It is right next to square where big easter parade ended, but we were shielded from outdoor noises. Location is incredible! We loved that. There were two drawbacks. The first was that we heard people walking on stairs quite frequently in middle of night. The second was the awkward bathroom. Toilet sits in tight area and you have to sit sideways. The sink has a shelf mounted right above it that prevents you from being able to easily wash your face or spit out toothpaste. And the shower is in a tight space with the hot/cold handle placed where it is very easy to bump and turn off, make it all cold, or make it all hot. All in all, the apartment is fine, but unless the bathroom was remodeled, we would opt to try a different hotel.

This property is located right in the heart of Puerta del Sol. From there you can reach all of the most popular tourist destinations and restaurants, bars, etc, by walking. The metro is also right there. Overall, great spot to launch your explorations. The property itself is fine. My issue was on the first night when we arrived. The A/C was not working in the room. We were told that there was no other room and no option for a repair (at 4PM). No solutions such as a large fan or portable A/C units. We were offered a small office fan that did very little to offset the 90F degrees in the room. We (me, my wife and 2 daughters) ended up sweating all night and not sleeping at all. I realize that things can go wrong or break down but not having a solution is not acceptable. The next day we were moved to a better room down on the main level where the A/C worked and everything was fine. Overall, if you get lucky and all works when you arrive, the stay at this location is good. We were not reimbursed for the cost of the first night. The attitude was "what do you want me to do?" It's a shame as it could have been a better stay. After the first extremely hot night, everything was fine.
