This is a pet friendly hotel which is good. Certainly needs some maintenance and an update. This is perfect for the single traveler for a night or two for the cost. I would not book for me and my wife though.

2/10 Poor

Lights out in upstairs hallway, very dark. Door locks broke, mold in coffee pot, had to dust out beds. Positive- no living thing in the bed. Restroom door didnt close and hair all over basin amd counter. Thought in middle of nowhere - trust Wyndham Hotels - even lesser ones. NO- this is not a place to choose.

This is a great place to stop while traveling. The outside may look plain, but the rooms are very clean and reasonably priced for a quick overnight rest. The highlight of our trip was the really friendly lady at the front desk. She was so sweet and helpful! I wish I would have gotten her name, she made our stay even better. Great customer service!!!!! So if you were the one working Thursday evening, July 30th, we really appreciate you being so nice! You are amazing!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The sheets were clean but thread worn. Direct tv was having issues. I would recommend this as a place to stay in a need to get a night's rest then head out to your next destination.

10/10 Exceptional

The motel was just average, but when you look at the town of Clayton, NM, you can see why. The town is very small (like 1 stop light), so that says it all. Still, I was happy that I stayed there. The room was clean, the bathroom was larger than usual rooms that size, and it was quiet. I recommend it as I would stay there again.

Safe area. Nice town. Pretty clean rooms. People next door were very obnoxious and people in the hallway. Had to sleep with the TV on loud to drain out the noise.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean, however the hair dryer did not work and the tub surround needs attention. Not up to par for the price.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. It is DISGUSTING. The stairs and upstairs hall way filthy. Got to room. I did not touch anything. Didn’t look like it had even been cleaned. Hair in the shower. The shower curtain was brown at the bottom from filth. All switches filthy. It was DISGUSTING. My sheets were so stained. Only good thing ac cooled good and shower hot. I’ve never been so miserable and glad to get out of there. Parking lot so disgusting too. Grass growing between all rocks, cement, definitely not maintained. AND the girl at the front desk NOT friendly. I would have left but got in late and nothing available.

4/10 Fair

Only thing even good was the very nice and friendly lady that checked us in. Room was clean but not maintained. Breakfast was a joke. No juice, no coffee, no food except cereal or stand in line to make waffles. Didn’t do that because parents were trying to feed their kids something. The lights were not even on in the lobby, where the food also happened to be. No morning attendant on duty. Which was posted. No attendant available until 2:00pm to 2:00am. Pretty pitiful.

8/10 Very good

I was worried based on the previous reviews. But my experience was very good. The check in was great. I was asked about my room preference. This is very convenient. It is an older property so there were some maintenance issues but nothing that was horrible. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The only complaint is there was no coffee at breakfast. The coffee maker was in the room. Just a minor inconvenience. Overall I would stay there again.

There is not much around the hotel as it is on the way out of town, but the Mexican place across the parking lot serves up good food (more than I could eat). It is a place to get a shower & bed before moving on.
