We arrived around 10pm for a quick sleep before we hiked the ridge in the morning. This place is a newly renovated motel. Super cute and very clean. It had all the good vibes and it was obvious the owners cared a lot about the place. It's hard to find a decent stay at this price point in the white mountains. I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend.

This was a terrific hotel. The bed was super comfortable, And the linens were soft. The bathroom was clean with plenty of good quality fluffy white towels + fabulous smelling soap. The room & the bathroom were tastefully decorated, and the selection of bedside reading was delightful. It was quiet and comfortable and absolutely perfect after a long day of driving and before an even longer day of hiking the next day. I recommend Gale River House without hesitation.

The building is older but has large rooms and was exceptionally clean. Very peaceful and bed was very comfortable. We felt it was a great deal for the price. We’ll stay here again if we’re back in the area. It’s clean basic lodging for a great price!
