Discouragement from booking.

Pictures speak a thousand words. Unfortunately, stench is difficult to convey. The bedding had a strong perspiration odor. Be advised, no one on premises for assistance and the area is a dark. Very poor lighting to operate entry key. I deem this area unsafe for women. The building may be considered historical, the exterior and restaurant deceive the consumer because they are well maintained. The rooms are appalling. This is very unfortunate and I hope the necessary changes will be addressed. For those looking to stay in an aesthetically pleasing environment the decor is ghastly and senseless. I have over 50 pictures which the system does not allow more than eight.

My New Hotel Favorite

With our club’s 36th Antiques in Long Valley, I had to find a close by hotel for an overnight stay. Very fortunate to learn that the Public House Hotel in Chester was the perfect location. My stay was wonderful, comfortable and just what I needed. I will return.

Nice property, poor check-in process

The check-in process was awkward. The only agent to check us in was too busy gossiping with bar flies and would not take the time to recognize us. When she finally ended her chatting she did not welcome us. Almost seemed like our business was a burden to her.
