10/10 Exceptional

Super cute historic building with rooms tastefully appointed with new mattresses and high-end linens, designer soaps and toiletries. Views of the rushing river from the room, walkable to coffee in the morning on Main St. Maple Leaf Tavern across the street was excellent. The pizzas they make here smelled amazing but unfortunately I cant eat pizza so didnt get to try it. Highly recommend, and an amazing value for the price!

Very small room above a bar. It quieted down by 9:00. It served us well for our one night stay

We had a great time in Wilmington and enjoyed staying at Valley Craft Ales and eating their pizza

An old mill converted into a brewery with rooms for rent - how could you go wrong?! Stayed here in a hiking a trip. Rooms are small, but for a place to stay while hiking it was perfect

8/10 Very good

Valley Craft Ales is a bar/restaurant on the main floor with guest rooms on the second floor. The building is an old grist mill built in 1828. It is old, and it reads old. If you find that charming (we did), you’ll be fine. If you’re looking for a sparkling new Marriott, keep looking. On Friday nights they have live music in the bar. The band was great, the sound insulation was nonexistent. (Earplugs supplied in the room - no kidding.) Fortunately the music wrapped up by 11. This is not a generic hotel. It’s an adventure, but a good one. The place is clean and functional. The room decor is Bicentennial (yes, as in c. 1976), but somehow it all works. Stay there and have fun.

This is a unique stay. I really enjoyed it and would go back. Pictures are accurate. Bare bones, but great price. LOVED the town and area. Comfy bed. Small, but super clean hot water shower. Live music on the weekend - enjoy it!! - done fairly early. No big deal.

A place to rest your head, no handicapped accessibility, not fancy but clean.

great cozy inn at the heard of wilmington, live music and pizza was phenomenal.
Peter, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Charming and fun

The inn is above the brew pub/pizzeria, which is an old ski lodge, which is pretty rustic and very charming. Great deck over the river where you can enjoy pizza and beer. Quiet (when no live music, which is mostly), easy to access. Stairs, basic plumbing, nice location.

After walking around the quaint town of Wilmington, we couldn't decide where to go for dinner. We went to the bar to taste test the beer and ended up ordering a pizza. The bartender gave us ice to take upstairs. The building is an older building and has many eccentricities. We loved staying here and will stay again if in the neighborhood.

Did not stay and told manager we were not staying. Wanted money back and refused.

Very nice, easy place to stay. Charming old New England feel, with a brewery pub and restaurant in house.

To warm in hot weather, very small room and shower, floor tilted
TIMOTHY, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This is an old rustic building that is also a Brewery/Restaurant/Music Venue. Very cool. Walk into town in a minute. If you are looking for a unique stay, this is it! If you are looking for Shiny new, bell hop, room service, pool, spa etc, this is NOT the place for you.
Valerie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

No tv No fridge no microwave No AC I know, it's my fault for not asking. I've gotten used to the "normal" amenities I will surely check from now on. The place was fairly clean.
Buck, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

There seemed to be a thermostat for AC but no air. Mainly the toilet didn’t work. We had to turn off the water to keep it from running all night and remove the tank cover to flush manually.
