very impressive stay in Florence

We had a very pleasant stay in Florence. The room is very very comfortable and feels like staying at home. We also liked the breakfast provided by Mr. Simpson. And he also gave us a lot suggestions from the date we booked the hotel till the last day we left. I would highly recommend this B&B to my friends.

Hosts were wonderful and friendly. Fresh fruit in my room each day was a nice touch along with crackers/cookies. They have tea bags and a hotpot to heat water with along with a french press for the coffee lovers. Only word of warning is the bathroom is on the second floor of the suite and is accessible by a spiral staircase. Anyone that has concerns about going up/down narrow stairs should consider this, but it was no problem at all for me and I'm 6'2". Highly recommend for anyone that wants to stay in Florence and be a short walk from the center of the City.

Cosy stay in Florence

Wonderful location close to everything in Central Florence. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The host was very helpful, kind and accommodating. The street is peaceful in regard to people and tourists for being in the middle of Florence. Car traffic was a little bit loud in the mornings.

The beds were uncomfortable, the Wi-Fi was spotty, and the breakfast in B&B was nonexistent- just fruit, wafer cookies and instant coffee. Kind of close to sites. Very narrow circular staircase to bathroom on second level loft.

Gianna is an amazing host, gave us tips on how to get to places, what to see, supermarkets, laundry, etc. She was also super detailed when asking for our breakfast preferences (delicious and extremely punctual every every day, even when we had to wake very early). The room is spacious with a double bed, and a "mezzanine" with a single bed and the bathroom (bit of downside depending on your conditions). It also contained an amazing little library with art books, suspense, romance, etc. The location is good, it takes a ~10 minute walk from Santa Maria del Fiore, so it is a bit away from the noise of the city center, but also a bit far from restaurant choices. Street can be a bit noisy at times too, but nothing egregious. I've docked a few points from my review, because we were without hot water during our entire stay due to a problem with the water system, that was out of the hosts hands to resolve, but it soured our experience a bit. Regardless, Gianna was graceful when dealing with this issue and I thank her for that.

Very nice host. More room than you will get in any hotel. Felt just like staying in a good friends place. Clean and nice homely feeling. Fresh fruit every day. Close to the Market-hall and the dome and good places to eat nearby. We would definitely use it again if we came to Florence. Note: stairs inside apartment to reach Bathroom and no elevator to reach 2. floor.

Wow. Beautiful property.

Amazing place to stay. Has to be the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in. Gianna couldn’t do enough for us, a wealth of information about the local area, hidden gems. The room is spacious, well furnished. Plenty of reading material. Unbelievably clean, lovely big shower and well equipped bathroom. Plenty of nibbles left on the table and drinks in the fridge provided free of charge. Air-conditioning works really well and keeps the room nice and cool in the heat. Comfortable bed which was changed despite us only being there for 6 nights, so lovely clean bedding which was nice. Excellent location for the city, less than a miles walk. Maybe ten minutes to Il Duomo. Street lovely and quiet, especially for a city. Gianna had plenty of info about the best supermarkets, coffee places etc. We’ll definitely be staying again. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Our favorite place to stay in all of Italy!

The couple that runs it were so friendly, kind, accommodating. It was our favorite stay of all of the 4 cities we stayed in. We forgot our keys and got locked out, and they let us in at 11pm. They provided meals to take with us when we had to leave early. Directions to places to eat, tour, etc. were amazing. The accommodations were wonderful. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the people who run this place and the place itself. If I return to Florence, I will stay there again!

Ótima localização e atendimento

Bem próxima do Centro histórico, do Mercado Central e relativamente da estação de trem. Fomos andando, quando chegamos à cidade de trem. Foi possível conhecermos tudo a pé, inclusive às Galerias Degli Uffizzi e dell'Accademia e todos os importantes pontos de interesse cultural e gastronômico. Ótima cama e banheiro. A única coisa não satisfatória é que o ar-condicionado não refrescava o mezzanino, já que fomos próximo ao início do verão e Firenze é uma cidade bem quente e seca. Pra quem tem dificuldade de se locomover, a escada que leva ao mezzanino, onde fica o banheiro, é apertada. O prédio é antigo e não tem elevador. Giovanne é um ótimo anfitrião, preocupado em nos receber e atender bem às nossas solicitações. Além disso, oferece frutas, algumas coisas para o café da manhã e tem uma estante com muitos livros interessantes. Um bom lugar para ficar...
