The hotel is quite old and poorly maintained. Rooms are tiny and poor. It really needs renovation, there is no elevator any elevator. If you’re staying on one of the upper floors, climbing the stairs every day is a real challenge. Therefore hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good , not far from metro. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby.

Busy neighborhood close to the two main train stations, Gard de Nord and Gard de l’ Est. Lots of dining options and a short walk to Sacre Coeur. Very clean rooms - new beds and comfortable pillows. Very pleasant helpful staff. It’s not fancy and appears a little old when you arrive but relatively inexpensive for the area. Certainly good for a quick overnight in Paris.

I chose Hotel Jarry because it is close to Gare du Nord as I was leaving for London on the EuroStar quite early in the morning. A plus was that it was within walking distance to the Louvre and therefore other tourist sights.
