8/10 Very good

small hotel in Calabogie ... it was clean and comfortable ... a bit dated in the decor
Chris, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Clean. Super friendly and helpful staff.

8/10 Very good

I liked that it is a small property with nice clean rooms. It could use some better roadside signage and the fee tacked on by Expedia seemed excessive.

8/10 Very good

It was very convenient to have our motorcycles parked right outside our door

8/10 Very good

Great location, comfortable beds, clean, the premises sofas and chairs were older but comfy. Cheaper than other hotels in area. I would stay here again.
Nicole, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It is a quiet little humble motel. The staff was very kind and responsive to our needs. They also have StarLink internet at over 100 mbps, while cellular and other wifi is 10 or less.

8/10 Very good

This small motel seems to be well run. Nothing fancy but it had a good bed, clean linens, and minor extras like a microwave and kettle. Not sure how soundproof the walls are but we had quiet neighbours! The heating unit was a bit noisy but didn't interfere with sleep at all.

Perfect lodgings for attending a wedding at Barnet beach. Clean as a whistle. No-Hassle check in. Nice fridge and microwave in room. Top shelf as far as basic accomodation goes.

6/10 Good

Other than a gazebo and a small lawn in front, there is zippo landscaping around the building

10/10 Exceptional

Room was comfortable. Older property so sink and shower could be updated, however, very clean. Loved the real coffee mugs in room. Surprised only instant coffee but pleasantly surprised it was good. Courteous gentleman at front desk. Great value. Perfect location, could walk to most venues.

All good
Doug, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Everything was in order with an easy check in and the room was as expected. It would have been nice to have had the heating on for a while before arrival as it took some time for the room to get warm. Also, there was a property wide problem with the satellite so TV couldn't be accessed (would have used at night) which we discovered and reported to the front desk. Staff was very responsive and tried to get it working and then called for a service technician. Unfortunately that would be until the next day after we had checked out. WIFI was slow but adequate allowing us to use our own personnel devices

4/10 Fair

Not a 9. Needs to work on basics

We reserved this hotel due to 9/10 ratings on Hotels.com. Not expecting turn down service or plush bathrobe, but a clean well run motel. What we found was a bathroom that smelled mildewy. When we ran the bathroom fan to ventilate, it sucked the air from the adjoining room, and we could smell their smoke under the door. I question fire safety in this case. The walls were thin and our next door neighbours talked loudly until the late hours and kept us up. We even heard them have sex! In the morning there was hot water for the shower for only 2 minutes then it turned cold. My husband phoned the office to tell them and they were not interested. Told him I turned the handle the wrong way. That was impossible with this shower. It goes from off to cold to hot all in one direction. I had to finish my shower with cold water. Then on checkout the office tried to shut me down by telling me everyone had hot water (except me??) Also only instant coffee available. But water had a sulfurous odor and precipitated large white flakes of calcium in the kettle. Instant coffee curdled in the cup. In summary this hotel did not meet basic needs for a good nights sleep and personal hygiene.

6/10 Good

We checked in at 10am and received our key. The room was clean and dated. The bathroom although clean definitely needed a makeover. The location to our event was excellent.

10/10 Exceptional

Calabogie peaks resort was 5 minutes down the road. Stores, food places and trails close proximity. My dad and I were in Calabogie for the annual snowmobile races and got lucky with the last room available. Spacious, cute environment, clean, and the man running the place and front desk was so kind. Definitely will be our spot to stay every year moving forward, can’t beat the price.
Kassi, 1-night trip

Its nice quiet place to stay. Great for anyone who wants to use the trails
Paige, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

We booked a stay for an event at Calabogie peaks. Calabogie canceled the event and the Motor Inn staff was totally unwilling to move our booking to another date.
