Room had amazing breafast included with lovely staff and incredible location. There were a few minor problems with the room such a faulty bathroom door lock and an extremely noisy and offputting extractor fan noise. The bed was also not very comfy. However, the property was clean, the location could not be any better, and the staff were extremely helpful.

This is an incredible hotel, with perhaps the best location in Lake Como. Giulia was very kind and helpful upon check-in. And the best was to come - the location and the view (if you get a lake viewing room) are unbeatable! Varenna is perhaps the best town on Como, and you are steps from the Lido (small beach), beautiful walks, and the walk up to Castello di Vezio. Regarding the room- it was super clean, comfortable and had all we needed, with nice small touches. We did not agree with any of the concerns others manifested (eg, noise)

Wonderful stay in Varenna. Room was comfortable. Not large but we really only sleep in our room. Did not find the center until our second day. Visited the botanical gardens which are beautiful. Climbed to Castello de Vezio. Challenging walk but worth it in the end. Ferry stop is very close to the hotel. We did take the Varenna Express bus back to Milan since the train tracks are under construction. Well worth the extra money. Straight trip to Milan Centrale. Would like to visit again

Tree hotel was very close to the train station and very close to the ferry’s. The hotel from the outside was not that nice but overall inside was pretty spacious and clean . The TV didn’t work and the blow dryer was not good at all. Did not like the door locks . Overall though I have to say it was good.

Easy to get to from the train station. Very busy intersection, but convenient to getting around Varenna and remarkably quiet for the amount of traffic. Clean no frills room with a nice view.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable and conveniently located just 5-8 minutes (walking) from the train station. Also located just 5 minutes from the shoreline and ferry terminal, making it easy to explore the area! The staff was friendly and helpful! Breakfast was very satisfying. Varenna is lovely, with many restaurants along the water.

Ok, expected more for price.

Service was on point, and so was the localization. However the receptions localization and breakfast is in a building 100m away which wasn’t that big of a issue. The biggest problem we had was that there was a lot of noise from the street outside but also from within the same building, this made our night sleep quite difficult. The bed was not so comfy and there was no hair conditioner available. The tv didn’t work but we didn’t come to watch television in lake como. The place was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was varied and they offered gluten-free alternatives. Overall a bit expensive for what you get.

For €329 a night, you get a very basic room. It’s not a hotel. It’s more of an apt. There’s no reception nor concierge downstairs so if you have a question or need something, you will have to walk to a different hotel(before 8pm). The room we had did not have bedside tables, a full size mirror, mini fridge nor a safe. We had just a bed, a very small tv, a small mirror and a basic wardrobe. The location and the view is the only good thing about this place.

The hotel was newly remodeled, although a simple room pricing was moderate for the area. Availability in Lake Como for hotels. It is on the high end price wise but this hotel was adequate in all areas. Convenient for exploring the Lake Como area and especially the train station and a short walk to the ferry, landing lots of restaurants and scenery in Varenna Italy.

Staff were so helpful! Room was basic but for the price with breakfast included it is incredible value! Has convenient shop below which serves food coffee cakes etc. Check in was at a separate location only a minute walk away and was all quick and easy. Walkable distance to everything and really close to train station and ferry terminal. The hotel also stored our luggage all day after check out. Breakfast had good offering of cakes pastries toast pancakes and included tea and coffee. Would definitely stay here again and for the price in comparison to other places would definitely recommend.

We only stayed here one night and the hotel was clean. The room was a good size. We were on the second floor with a view of the lake. It was a little weird to figure out at first mainly because there is a coffee shop/store/café downstairs. The automatic blinds work awesome once we figured out where the buttons were. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was at another hotel down the street and it was ok. I would recommend staying here.

Overall ok but could be better

Overall not bad but hotel quite noisy (you wake up when the first room in the hotel wakes up, was 6am in our case). Also be careful to ask for non-smoking room. The smell was not so terrible but some parfum was used to cover it. Otherwise perfectly located, close to the rail station and center of Varenna. Employees have been very nice and helpful.

A good value stay, on the whole

The young man went out of his way to helpfully check us in, carry our cases and show us to our rooms. Wonderful service by him. Rooms both very good size and clean with excellent amenities apart from poor hair dryer and slamming 3 fire doors below my room, which is the entrance to the building so can not be stopped. Location great - very close to train station and lake front. Great value hotel all in all. Breakfast not so good. We were told it was 8-10, arrived at 8.05 to find the door locked and lights out. The woman opened the door but left us sitting in the dark while we waited for her to put the breakfast out. She was very unwelcoming!

As others have mentioned the noise is pretty unbearable. If you are looking to get some sleep this is not the hotel to do that. Every time someone walks, opens a door, closes a door or even moves causes a loud noise in the rooms above or next to you. Also, the bed in room 10 was all springs as the mattress is so worn. It is very uncomfortable and unhealthy to sleep directly on the springs. The rooms were spacious and location was great. Staff was also nice and responsive and it was very clean.
