I paid top dollar for a room here for 3 nights. After everything was totalled up i paid just over 700 dollars. That did not bother so much since I waited just under 2 weeks before booking. After 7 hours of driving I check in and in order to get my room I am told by the front desk receptionist that she will need a credit card to put a 75 dollar incidental charge on my card that will be put back from what I understood, as long as the room was ok upon leaving. Then, I am told that 7 dollars a day will be taken from the incidental for parking, 21 dollars total after spending over 700 dollars. It's little things like this that just irritated me after my long journey. Then the hotel only does cleaning every other day and when they did they did not make the beds. And, I have 4 in my group and they would only give us 3 towels for the shower. Another inconvenience, after paying so much! You would think they would know how many guests are staying in a room. So, for me and my family, if I return to see the Ark Encounter, I will not stay here again! Work out all the dang fees (parking included) in the booking process and don't surprise ppl when they arrive and are tired from their journey! And know how many ppl are staying in the room and have it ready for that # of guests! So, if this was the only hotel in the area, I might suck it up if I come back, but thankfully it is not! Hotels.com should also know this stuff about their partner hotels as well!
